Too cold?

I will apologize upfront if this question was elsewhere but I couldn't find it in a search (only too hot). Now that the weather is getting a bit nippy for us Northern folks what is too cold for you to drop your top? Do you need shorts and a tank top (tube top) to drop your top? Or is dressing like you are going under water polar bear hunting for you?

Never Too Hot or Too Cold!

We dress up or dress down. Travel when it's 113 with top down. Also in the winter when it's chilly in the low 50's. We just love the covertible. We don't like to put the top up unless it's pouring. Luckily, we live in AZ so that NEVER happens for more than a 10 min. stretch.

60 degrees if I'm going over 50.
55 degrees at 50 or below.

Windows up or down depending on how I feel.
Heater adjusted appropriately.

And that's without a coat or jacket. I'm not going to wear a jacket just so I can go top down, and I don't normally wear a jacket until it gets in the mid 40s, and don't wear coat until it's freezing or below.

At 50 degrees, a wind of 20 mph makes it feel like 32 on your skin. Drop into the 40s, and the wind chill drops into the teens!

Back on subject. I am not above putting on a jacket so I can run top down in near freezing temps. I love the look of the other drivers and passengers in other cars wondering why I am driving top down.

Here in north central Florida, there are few days in the winter we have to even think about putting up the top. A sweatshirt at the most is all that is needed. A bigger problem here is actually in the summer when it can get very hot. On the Cocoa Beach run, by the time we finished, everyone was more then willing to pull the cover over our head, and crank up the AC.

I KNEW that I would get the "I button my shirt up one button when it gets cold" remarks from the Southerners. You didn't dissapoint! How about more of your northern folks?

I play it by weather - how rushed I am - and speed I will be traveling at.

It can be a winter's afternoon and be quite perfect for top down But then at turnpike speed, even with heater on, it can get to be too windy cold

The solution ... spend winter in warmer climates!

If its 50 and sunny, top down. 50 and cloudy, top up.

The cockpit in this car holds heat exceptionally well.

In Florida, everyday is convertible weather. If it's too hot, we leave the top up and run the air; otherwise, it's top down.

I'm such a wimp when it comes to cold weather. Anything under 70ish I've got a jacket on. 50s or colder usually means top-up, heater on, and wishing for spring to come.

There's a very good reason I live in one of the southernmost states.

OK....so I already commented once, but I have something else to say. This morning it was 52 degrees here, and for this part of Florida, at this time of year, that's cool. I was out driving with the top down in tee and shorts. However, I must mention that I am from Syracuse, NY, and 52 is like a warm summers day.

Hmmm....top up below 70....or find a new girlfriend. Interesting, you mistakenly typed "girlfiend". Maybe a subconscious thing. Who knows?

Central WI
50 degrees today
11am-12pm, Waukesha to Madison (top up, 80+mph on the interstate...I mean, 65mph.)
12pm-3pm Began personal Sky rally west of Madison in farm country (top down, 30-60mph on beautiful, curvy roads. Permagrin refreshed.)
3pm-4pm Madison to Waukesha (top up, same as initial trip.)

Just wearin' fleece and a turtleneck and was very comfortable. The Windrestrictor REALLY helps on days like this.
