Warm weather Condensation Check

With the warm weather and a cold sky sitting in the garage, is a good mix for water to form on your sky. Pull back your cover and allow fresh air in and around your baby. you may be surprised at what you see.

I was getting ready to start a thread on this when I saw yours.
We had temps in the mid 60's today & when I went out to the barn today to take the mower deck off the tractor & I was shocked at all the water on my Sky. From the bottom of the doors down & my chrome wheels were soaked. I took her out for a quick drive to dry out & laid cardboard down on ths floor to try & stop this. (The car was cooled down before parking on the cardboard).
Does anyone have any ideas how to stop this?
I can't heat this area so that's out.
Would parking on plywood help?

soaked

My sky sits in an attached garage, The inside temp is around 10-15 degF warmer than outside. It sits on rubber matts. The wheels were soaked and the interior hade condensation on the inside of the windshield. With the cover back it onlytook a few minutes to clear. the windows were down about 3 inches at the time. Other than heating I do not know how to stop this.

Just use a moisture absorber - they really do work.
I live in the damp, wet, & cold Pacific NW and we have these in our garage during the fall, winter, & early spring. We usually refill them about once or twice a month depending on the weather. There are several brands available - check out the hardware section of your store.
(FYI -There are also electric ones available if you want to spend that kind of $.)

At the risk of stating the obvious....warm air can hold more moisture than cold air. When the warm air comes in contact with a cold surface, the air next to the cold surface becomes cold to the point it can no longer hold the moisture. The end result is condensation.

We think of our car covers as forming a barrier between the vehicle and the elements. This is true for elements that fall onto the vehicle. But unless you literally wrap your vehicle in a sealed chamber, or put it in a temperature and moisture controlled environment, air will get in and and around the car. As humidity and temperature changes, moisture will form on your car...literally from the air itself. This is why car covers need to breath. Any moisture created in this fashion needs a way out.

Garage Problems Also

Good that someone posted this for with our wacky cold ice storm then 73 degrees this week weather the condensation is horrible. Our second garage has gravel for the floor and is uninsulated, so the inside roof condensates during this wacky weather. The cover keeps off the drips but then it condensates under the cover,
I noticed on the corvette that does not get driven weekly that the rotors had surface rust Hubby took it for a drive Sunday fixed that issue
I will check the Sky tonight and take off the cover, nice and dry but cold tomorrow so its Sky driving time again.
