Washed my shirt while getting my car washed...

For the first time I took the SKY through a "ride in it while it gets blasted with high-pressure water" kind of dealio today.

All I can say is, "I'm glad my shirt was machine washable."

the pressure of the water pushed the top out of the way allowing other, evil water to work it's way quite nicely into the cockpit above the side window.

Not too bad, really. I didn't have to bail out the car or anything, but my shoulder was pretty soaked...

Now that's funny! I love that all of us waiting for our cars to be delivered are gaining lessons learned from the few that have taken delivery. Keep up the good work and next time...might want to take a towel with you!

Yeah, it was up. But apparently the robot did not approve of its final placement, and felt that a slight adjustment was in order...

I've owned convertibles as daily drivers for ten years now. My first experience taught me one simple truth: HAND WASH!

Why would you possibly take it to the car wash and forget your umbrella.

Didn't your daddy always tell you to put your coat on mud puddles and hold your umbrella over the head of your best girl?

Been there, done that. Still got the wet t-shirt.

Borrowed it and washed it before I returned it to its rightful owner(s). Ran it through the carwash (made sure it was ok with the owner) - and that is where I learned that the little 'tang' on the roof has to fit INTO the little slot in the body (just behind your shoulder).

I was a bit worried as the washers came up the hood, along the window, relaxed a bit as the nozzles seemed fine. THEN, they hit the back part of the window...

...and I got to play the "WWII submarine struck by a depth charge" game.

I could almost hear the "arruuuuugggahhh arrruuuuuugggaaaahh arrrruuuuugggahhh" of the klaxon in my mind, the captain shouting to dive, dive!!...

wet washed

Hey, it could've been worse--at least it wasn't one of those sloppy blue noodles coming through your window--those things are like spastic octopus tentacles
