Well I Did It

LAST NIGHT WHEN I GOT HOME FROM WORK I ASKED MY WIFE IF SHE WANTED TO GO OUT FOR DINNER AND SHE SAID THAT IT WOULD BE NICE TO GO OUT. I WAS SO PROUD OF MYSELF, WE TOOK THE SKY OUT AND IT WAS RAINING ??????? WHY YOU SAY -- BECAUSE I NEED TO DRIVE MY CAR AND BEFOR ANY OF YOU START CALLING ME ASKING WHEN AM I GOING TO SELL IT, I'M NOT. I WIPED IT DOWN AND PUT IT BACK IN THE GARAGE. YES THE UNDER CARAGE GOT WET BUT I DON'T THINK THATS GOING TO HURT IT THAT MUCH. I'M GOING IN TO GET THE FIRST OIL CHANGE SOON, SO I WILL WIPE THE UNDER CARAGE DOWN WHILE THEY ARE CHANGING THE OIL. THEY MAY THINK I'M SOME KIND OF A NUT BUT SOMONE HAS TO WIPE IT DOWN. OUR NEXT STEP WILL BE, TOP DOWN NO RAIN.
WE THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Another ARSO

I feel so bad...
I really do....

Today I am working on finishing my basement - to do this I have to precut drywall sheets to fit (Can't get a full sheet down the stairs) This requires me to work in the garage as the drywall is stacked against the wall. That means I have to park Sunni1 outside. Normally I don't mind as I figure I am helping the local real estate values... But today.. Today is different
Today is bad
Today I have to park her out there
Alone. . .

IN THE RAIN

Oh, man, I gotten to drive top-down from work twice now. Thursday, I just got it in the garage before it starting raining.

When are you getting you oil changed? Since we will probably be going to the same dealer, maybe we should go in at the same time.

I may have to call Sky Protective Services. I am pretty sure this is abuse.

I don't call it abuse... I call it "giving it lots of love!"

I've driven my sky in the rain numerous times, left it parked in a snow storm, dinged a rim and tapped the back (getting fixed this week)... no clear bra for me, its gonna get dings up front but it it gets too bad I'll get it fixed... I'm not gonna worry too much about the mileage I put on it either...

i dont want to imply I am reckless or dont care... I can guarantee that 5 yrs from now my bright yellow sky will still be Wowing people. its just that I bought this car to have fun with, both for the turbo and the top down driving... and at $500+ per month (and an extended warranty) I am definately going to get my use out of it without the anxiety regarding every move I make with the sky... "well, I'd love to go on that cruise with sky-friends, but I put a lot of miles on her last month"...

Sort've like dating an incredibly beautiful, smart, amazing woman and being so focused on not messing things up that ya never take the time to have fun with her (or let yourself loose enough to have a good time) !!

Cars have been driving in the rain for decades, I dont know of one that has had undercarriage problems from getting wet, and there are only a few instances of really bad paint problems from elements (Silver pinto, white neons come to mind)

Actually... There are a few rules for me. No Snow/Ice/Salty roads. No smoking in or anywhere near it. No eating in the car.

Sorry.. one of my minor Soap-boxes that i jumped on... I know the original poster was partly joking... I just chimed in because I've seen others feel the same way about thier Skys and my thought is... go out and have some fun with it!!!!!

Make sure your service department knows how to lift the Sky or you could have problems.
