For the look you are going for, the spokes are too thin and the rim size is too small. You want 20s or 21s, and with big fat chrome that lights up the whole side of the car. You gotta do that, or your car will say:
LAMBO DOORS! with tiny spoke puny rims.

I actually really like the way they look on the car. When you see the picture of the rim itself, it doesnt look good but on the car they do look pretty good. Are they compatible with the stock tires?

A car has to have a unified theme to look really right. Like SPIRIT, for example, is all unified around black and red. I am getting black rims. I have red calipers. Black and red leather interior. Black hood liner, red under-hood accents. I will be eliminating the silver strip around the windshield frame, and behind the seats and making them all black. Then i will add themed stripes that reflect classic sports racing, with something that distinctly indicates Saturn SKY Red Line flair. The car will look unified from end to end. Everything will look like it belongs there on the car, and unless you knew otherwise your opinion would be "of course the factory made it that way. Look how right and unified it looks." And because of this, I won't get a light up wind restrictor. I think they are great. Very attractive, and very innovative. I like them. But they don't go with the look that I am going for on my car. I will have to go with a mellow, non-light-up wind restrictor to match the theme. And there are some nice looking chrome rims, but I am not going with those as they won't complement the conservative/traditional look of the car that is my target. Similarly, my license plate frame is the simplest of black rings - no text, no bling, no nothing. Just a frame to dress up the edges of the plate, and black so you don't even see it there at all. It just disappears and looks "right" with the look of the car. You are not going for that look. I have read your posts. You want "tricked out" - obviously. So you need to go with that theme, and unify it throughout the car. Start at the front bumper and go to the back, keeping your design concept in mind. A custom car should not be a collection of "cool gizmos and individual neat things to slap on." You are obviously hooked on the lambo doors. So complement them. They will be the most dramatic part of your car, so everything else needs to tie into those. What kind of license plate frame would a car with lambo doors have? A simple, black rounded frame that disappears? Or a mirror or chrome frame - maybe a neon light up frame? What kind of rims should a car with lambo doors have? Simple spokes, that evoke a 1960s racing wheel? Or big 20 or 21 inch rims with chrome blades that flash in the sun as you pull to a stop? What kind of color should a car with lambo doors be? Conservative black, or a flashy metallic that jumps out at you from 200 yards away and screams "look at me!" You gotta go with a theme, kid. Each modification needs to reflect and enhance every other modification. Otherwise it's just gonna look like a bunch of junk piled onto a car - no matter how cool each individual mod might be. That's the point.

Very cool post, and def agree with it. However, i do have a question about the wind restrictor. If you're going with a black and red theme, why dont you get a wind restrictor with red lettering? I have a black with blk/red RL and at one point i thought of getting a wind restrictor with the Red Sox "B" or the intertwined 2 socks because it'd "match" the interior, but decided against it because of money.

Look below: Lambo doors, custom grilles on the whole front end, big rims with lots of reflection points, a one-of-a-kind color with a distinct finish. This isn't my personal taste, but it reflects a design concept executed throughout the car. Everything works together.

A wind restrictor with a light up design is a great accent, and if I was going to do one and only one mod that would probably be it. But I just don't see it fitting into a larger overall design.

Actually, I think these are more of what you are looking for. These are on a SoCal car that belongs to Angelqute1 - they are 20" FOOSE rims, I do believe...

I get your point and i agree with it, except that you think of black as a "conservative" color. May be just differences of opinion, but i think of black as being elegant, sophisticated yet a mean, menacing, dont F with me kind of color. I think of terms like BLACKmail, BLACK market, BLACK humor, BLACK belt (karate), etc that i think of as "threatening". I look at my black RL and it looks like it's about to eat you alive while i llook at a red car, and its a far more outgoing, cheerful color. To be, a conservative color is something like white, very "vanilla".

Hey, just because my style is to integrate the mods into a theme that works together doesn't mean that you have to. Do whatever you want. I would just recommend that you put some thought into it and choose carefully. This stuff doesn't come cheap, so take your time and make sure you get it right. That's good advice any time.
