What kind of driving shoes do you use?

I drive 20 - 40 minutes one way (depending on traffic) everyday to work. I ware heels at work most days. In my Relay I have noticed a spot on the floor where my heel has worn the carpet. I don't want this to happen to my baby, so I am thinking about getting a pair of driving shoes. What do you suggest?

You could probably buy a spare carpeted mat for less than the new shoes!!! That is, if your not just looking for a reason to have another pair.

shoes? I spent all my money on my Sky. Now I can't afford shoes. It was still worth it though.

Driving shoes? They would not go well with a suit.

OK, you caught me, shoes are in the top 10 of my favorite things to spend money on.

1. Sky
2. Sky
3. Sky
4. Sky
5. Kids
6. Sky
7. Hubby
8. Sky
9. Shoes
10. Sky

Anyone else see a trend???

I think I might get away with saying that I need a new pair of shoes, but where does this fall in the list Sky or Shoes, maybe both (now thats a bonus).

I worried about shoes for awhile (wore my Nikes to the dealership to pick the car up 'cause I was so worried about stalling her!), but learned pretty quickly that I could drive just fine in heels--and my legs look a lot better when I'm getting out. If I get a worn spot, I guess I'll just get a new floor mat. Getting in and out gracefully is still a bit of a challenge, though!

If you have a manual...I don't recommend the flip flops. I've had clutch issues with the flip flops.

Hmm...if we're talking shoes, I want a pair of Manolo's just so I can say I own a pair. But spent all my cash on the cars so the Manolo's will have to wait until at least next year.

For driving/summer, I recommend Josef Seibel. Stylish, yet comfy! I have black slide that is 4 years old and a light tan slide that is 3 years old. Both have held up great. Bought them both in Vegas! Good thing I'm going in Oct! For some reason, I buy shoes every trip I make to Vegas!!

I usually just kick the right shoe off. If I had a manual I'd kick 'em both off!

Since you are driving a short distance -- Driving Moccasins may be for you -- Google Driving Shoes -- or Driving moccasins and you'll find plenty.
That said the shoes will still wear your carpets (not as fast -- but still. Perhaps a rubber pad for the carpet and THEN the shoes...

Saturn also has a really nice rubber mat set for the Sky. I use these mats in both my Vue and Ion and will have them in the Sky. They're nearly bullet proof, hold debris and water and are pretty comfortable under foot.

With my 5speed I can't use the clutch with flip flops on, the flops get stuck on the floor all the time when I'm letting the clutch out... maybe my feet are too big...

I wear a cheap set of Walley World tennis shoes, preferring instead to save my money for the latest accessories for SKYRCKT.

Heck, I'm from Kentucky. We usually wear these....

Just kidding. Contrary to popular belief, we really DO wear shoes in Kentucky!
