Wheel nicks and repair

Well it had to happen sometime I guess. I took my son for a ride yesterday, and while stopping at the local post office I accidently turned my wheels into a concrete curb . With the tire sidewalls so small, I nicked the wheel . Now I've got two or three small (probably about a quarter inch long by 1/32 inch wide and deep) nicks in the crome wheels. Any suggestions for 1) How to prevent this from reoccuring (I have trouble seeing curbs while parking), and 2) How to remedy the nicks?

I know this company can fix alloy wheels but not sure about chrome ones. http://www.mobilewheelrepair.com/

I scuffed a wheel on a curb in front of a restaurant on about the second day I had the car. You can't see the scratches from more than a couple of feet away, so I just got over it, and went on. It is, after all, just a car, and I drive it almost every day. I am as careful as I can be, and I'm not treating it carelessly, but some small things are bound to happen.

The most cost effective thing to do would be to get a spare set of wheels to use for "dress" occasions. I'd hate to repair a wheel for $50 to 100, and then scrape it again.

Buy a new rim, then install these bad boys...

I hope you appreciate the fact that I didn't just settle for ANY curb feelers - I also took the time to hunt down the Skull Head Curb Feelers. I think the skull motif perfectly compliments the lines of the SKY.

Don't you?

Your words will be more convincing when you show a picture of them on your car.

Unless you were just kidding ? (I hope.)

I am not taking him seriously, or literally, at all. Zero. Nada.

That's just NOT NICE... very funny - but NOT NICE

My husband teased me about that for a long time, until I finally started to use my side-view mirror adjustment buttons.... d'oh!

Do you think I could get the eyes in blue? I'd also need to modify them to light up. That would work well with my Wind Restrictor and license plate.

Instead of all the above mentioned cures.........Let me be the first to say that since the car is slightly bigger than a matchbox..............just learn the size of it and learn to drive WITHOUT hitting the curbs..........
