Grumpy old man...but as u may recall, I have that tripod and have only 9 seconds to take that pic...thanks for the info on the tires. Now to do some research.

Did the research and they r the exact size tires that go on our SKYS. Thank you so much.

They are the same size (245-45-18) but the speed rating is only an "H" and not a "W" or better. Of course it is not unusual for websites not being current .. so a phone call might cause you to

My car is not for racing...so the speed rating is not a factor. Thanks for the performance concern But an H rating on a tire is a good rating.

Mike,
I got these tires form the Cadillac dealer (kind of expensive) they are a great all season tire not so much on performance.
you should be able to find them cheaper on the net.

The whitewalls give me bad flashbacks to the late '70's and early '80's, which, if any of you remember, was not a good time for cars!

Have you thought about redline tires? Not as in SKY Redline, but as in a red line around the tire instead of white? Give it a little bit of a sportier look, I think.

I'll post the redline pics next post...

I got as far as the part where the guy says, "by the time you're done with this you'll smell like burnt rubber." Ghad! I hate that smell!

Personally, when making my own whitewalls, I prefer to just run into curbs over and over again. Less of an effort and no burnt rubber smell.

Not into the whitewalls myself. Depends on your personal taste. I'm with RainbowintheSky. I like the redline idea!

Just my opinion but I would go with the red line tires or maybe just find some white letter tires.

Just a thought.

Paul (XMicroRL) photochopped a picture of his car with Redline tires...the car was amazing looking because it picks up the interior seats of the car...if he is reading this thread...Paul...post your picture.
