Why I won't parallel park...

Cause I watch this lady wedge her SUV into this spot. Took her a while but she just backed up until she hit the Chrysler 300 and pushed it back a couple of inches then pulled forward until contacting the BMW and pushed it forward a couple inches. Both cars would rock back into position so she just repeated the exercise until it was in. She hit the cars a total of twelve times, each time moving them a couple of inches.

I just had to get a picture.

She'd be coming back out to a silver SUV with 4 FLAT TIRES if that was my car parked behind or in front of her.

That is a great photo! What would make it even better is if you could pan out with the camera and see several open parking spaces a few cars away to show the absolute absurd and impatient nature of folks like this.

How the heck did she even get in there?!? She only has inches!! I can't believe she was able to swing her front end in and not completely clobber the bumper on the BMW!

I was sitting on my balcony watching all the people pull up to try and just drive off. None would fit but because Oldtown was having a big night with fireworks parking was scarce.

Luckily my condo is surrounded by off street parking. We had the tow company busy that night taking the interlopers away. No free parking here.

The ideal thing to have done would be to take a good floor jack down there, lift her SUV and move it out into the street and double park it. Then sit back and video the thing getting towed.

Put a note on the windshield of the 300 & BMW giving them only the link to the video.

Watching it over & over on You Tube: Priceless

Double park it first, then the 4 flatties.

How about replacing the two cars with a couple of cement trucks. Then watch the video of her trying to get out. Bet that little SUV won't move those a couple intchs.

I agree. If it was my car, I'd have keyed every body panel on that thing.

over the years ....

I saw ... ... where a guy ripped open two packet's of maple syrup and spread it on the windshield and driver's door handle , another time a guy spit on the driver's door handle , poured pee into the window left slightly open and finally ... scouped up fresh dog droppings on a stick and smeared it on the door handles and windshield ... oh, do you carry long nails?

My brother lives in Miami (South Beach). Apparently that's SOP for parking down there. They all just back up until they hit the car behind them, and then pull forward until they hit the car ahead. Supposedly, the thinking is "that's what bumpers are for". Yeah, maybe in 1975, but not today when a bumper repair and repaint can cost upwards of $500, depending on the car.

I thought so, as well as the car in the back is NOT a chrysler 300. not certain what it is but the 300 has a tall flatter front, not a sloped one like that.
