XM Radio - After Market Install Help - Sky Redline
Need help with pictures and ideas on how and where to best install an XM after market box into my Redline.
That is what happend. Recently took delivery of my 2008 Redline and found out the dealer accidently put in XM Delete to override the standard XM functionality. Dealer also said they cannot order me a replacement factory head unit as it is a lot more complicated than just a headunit and would require a new wiring harness and other work. Also said Saturn would not even ship them the required components if they wanted to. Instead they have offered to pay for an aftermarket XM box to be installed plus 6 months of free XM service. Really need help on the following: 1) Where to put the XM box since we don't have a lot of room 2) Where to put the XM antenna 3) Whether I should get it hard wired into the aux input or use wireless. I have an IPOD I like to use in the aux input and don't want to give that up. Is there a way to hook it up to the aux input without losing the capability of using the IPOD in the input as well. Thanks!
