53% (Dixie). Barely into the Dixie category.

and living almost all my life in and around Baltimore...just south of the Mason Dixon line, I guess that makes sense. I would have liked to have seen the words, wash, water, ambulance, police and stoop added...residents of Bawlmer will understand.

38% (Yankee). A definitive Yankee.

10 of my answers mentioned "Great Lakes." Several others mentioned "Ohio to Indiana." One ("Devil's Night") even explicitly mentioned Michigan.

I guess it could tell I grew up on the East Side of Detroit...

(California tried to make an entrance, though, as I now say "Soda" instead of "Pop" as I got tired of people lookin' at me funny...)

83% (Dixie). Did you have any Confederate ancestors?
Woot! Grew up in the South.....spent a little time in Ohio...then to Texas...then back to Ohio....then over to Northern Virginia (which is really no longer the South).

Nice to know the North hasn't rubbed off on me....much.

No offense to you Northern folks....on second thought...yeah....it was meant as offense.

Please don't burn Atlanta again.....on second thought......

Perhaps I better stop while I'm ahead.

41%, barely Yankee.

I didn't call them potato bugs, pillbugs, or rolly-pollies; I called them cannonballs.

This first time someone stopped me on the street in Ann Arbor and asked me where they could get a 'soda' I didn't know what they were talking about. It's POP!

"71% (Dixie). That is a pretty strong Southern score!"

Pretty funny - I grow up in Tacoma but I guess 22 years in Atlanta have changed me.

What? After a night rolling ya'lls yard, I loved to chow down on a stuffed crawdad Sub chased down by a nice cold Coke.

Husband grew up in Catskills, NY, I am Okie (Oklahoma) born and raised and Mr. New York scored over 70% (Dixie) mine was less. What I do know is upper state New Yorkers are more Redneck then any back woods Okie
Of course the last 18 years of living in Oklahoma might have rubbed off on the natural born Rip Van Winkle Catskill's mountain hillbilly.

97% Dixie. It's a shame how the world is trying to Yankify everything though. What the hell is a grinder other than what you use to sharpen your axe? Soda? That's what you stick a box of in your refridgerator to suck up the crawdad smell. Used to, the grocery store aisle was just marked "Cokes". Now they're usually marked "Soft Drinks", except for the chain out of St. Louis that just came to town and they call it "Soda". Pffffftttttttt. Yankeeisms.
