I went to take a look at my dealer's showroom black model today (it finally got here). And I have to say every fingerprint, smudge, and grease mark shows up. I wanted to take my own tee-shirt and wipe the door area off myself. I was embarassed for the dealership. On a personal note, I would not have a black car for that very reason. It's soooooooo tricky to keep clean. You'd constantly be wiping it off because you'd want it to be looking clean and "spotless". White is also problematic for the same reason. Plus, in my opinion white is just so darn plain! Sports cars need to make a statement. And besides design, color is one of the best ways to do that! Mine is going to be Silver Pearl (understated perhaps, but still classy). To everyone else, if it's splashy color you want, then go for it!

My name says it all. No other color looks as hot when this car is sparkling clean. I know its difficult to keep it spotless but to me, this color is worth it. I also think its looks best with the chrome wheels and the other chrome on the car

I had picked Silver Pearl but after reading this forum, and I started seeing pics from members who received their Skys I changed my pick to Silver Graphite, I love how the darker silver looks in contrast to the chrome wheels!

Confused over color
OK, I have a question. My wife visited a dealership today and wanted to place an order for the bluestone color. She was told that they couldn't order one in a specific color, but that she could be placed onto the "list" for $1000, and that she would be 6th in line for whatever color they recieved.
She placed the deposit (refundable of course) , but is only interested in this color. Anyone else had this problem? We are going to visit other dealers next week. Any suggestions out there? |

BlueStone
My first choice was going to be Blue Stone, but the dealer told me on Saturday that he thinks the color will be/has been discontinued and will not be available at all. He offered to order mine as Blue Stone with my 2nd choice (Midnight Blue) as an alternate color. I think, though, that I am just going to go with Midnight Blue/Tan/Tan as my choice.

I'm thinking black because I want a two tone interior and don't want a tan top. Otherwise, my first choice would've been a midnight blue with a tan interior and black top - sadly, that's not an option.

Those pics of black sky's are gorgeous, but I've had my fill of trying to keep black clean.
Silver pearl it is! Though after thinking about the red/black interior I was going to get, I may have to change my mind. Hmmm.

I love 'em all except black and white. Actually, I'm torn between midnight blue and forest green, either one with tan leather and highly polished wheels. The blue is elegant looking and the green reminds me of BRG, [British Racing Green] I'm still a British sports car nut who's owned everything from a '49 MG TC to a frog eye sprite to an E type Jaguar. As the sky design was taken from the Vauxhall Lightning, From the GM styling studios in Burmingham [England] I can justify forest [BRG] green for my sky.

Went for green with tan/tan Sky
Mainly because there won't be as many of them around. Dark green is a classic roadster color.

Midnite Blue/blk interior gives the car a touch of elegance, style & class IMHO. Even the people @ the dealer love that color. Now I am not going to knock anyones else's choice, isn't that what freedom is all about?? We all have our choices/fav things in everything in life. I like my meat medium rare, my wife likes it raw--I like michelob, you prefer a bud--That's all fine, midniteblue makes the Sky look veeery classy. Had a dude in a porche carrera pass us on the right looking at our Sky yesterday, he slowed down and gave us the
