My Sky stays in the garage in bad weather and winter time. My 98 SL2 with 48K on it does all the grunt work. If I didn't keep my SL2, I wouldn't have any way to get around while my Sky is getting a Mallett conversion.

Traded in my '04 Envoy on the Sky 'cause I had a deal lined up on a used pickup. Every man needs a truck of some kind. Anyway, deal on the pickup fell through and the miles started piling up on the Sky. GMC dealer where I'd bought a couple of other trucks was durn near giving away '07 extended cab work trucks so I grabbed one. Wife has an '05 Acura RL that I'm allowed to drive on Sundays so I can fill it up for her and run it through the car wash.

The Sky R/L is going to be the wifes toy. She drives a toyota daily. I have an Mitsubishi EVO as my toy, I drive a F350 diesel P/U daily for work. We also have an Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe for weddings, funerals, dining out and trips to the casino etc. and a Hummer H2 for the bad weather. Also have a 1987 Porsche 924S for sale, 6000 miles, PM if interested. My oldest daughter has a Jetta, my son has a RIPP supercharged Mitsu. Eclipse ( toy)and a Suby WRX daily driver and my youngest daughter has an Acura RSX (toy) and a Lexus IS 300 daily driver. What I really need is some F****** Garage space

Sounds to me instead of Garage space you need to have a car sale and whittle it all down. I myself have a 97 nissan truck and the Sky of course. In the garage is a 1975 customized Triumph Spitfire...Skip...

My Plan...

I will keep my 04 Vue as a safe and practical car for my 16 year old. I get to commute in the Sky! Seems like a great deal for me.

It will be my only car. I still haven't quite figured out the logistics...I play guitar and was used to hauling my amp and guitar around in my pontiac sunfire (which I traded in...good riddance!!!!!). But, I live in Miami so we dont' have winter to worry about, I don't have a family, etc...so, it's just me and my sky. And I have friends with trucks and family members with bigger cars that I can borrow if I need to.

The Sky is my car and my husband has an 05 Dodge Ram truck. The truck is handy for buying lots of stuff. I've figured out how to shop when I'm in the Sky. Just enough room for about 3/4 of a cartload of groceries!! I was able to go on a 10 day cross-country trip (alone) and was very comfortable in it... I had a Vue prior to the Sky and loved it, but didn't want to have 2 vehicles.. This is my 5th Saturn to own.

I just got my chilli pepper red rl. Kids are in college and it's my time for fun now. My excuse was when the kids come home from college they need a car to drive to work. So .... for my use in the summer and nice weather, and then when they go back to college I have the other car for winter.

What's In My Garage

I plan on purchasing a Sky RL within two years. I can't wait! Those cruises I've been reading about look like so much fun. When I do buy the Sky, I don't plan on getting rid of any of my current vehicles:

1995 Nissan 200SX - daily driver with over 242,000 on the clock and still going strong. It takes the daily abuse to and from work.

2005 Mustang GT - my weekend terror. This car melts the asphalt just idling.

Don't know weather to keep my honda

I ordered the sky (midnight blue, tan leather package, slip, tan top...no chrome wheels though ) in October 06. It will be here late May. I live in Houston so I can drive it all year around. I was thinking of keeping my 02 civic EX if I needed to put something in the trunk or go to airport but was counting on the trade in value. I don't know how well the sky holds up as an everyday car. I would like to trade in the civic and just keep the sky. Money wise it would be better for me. Anyone have any thoughts on this? How does the sky hold up for every day use?

I had to keep my 4WD for winter, but there are other considerations. For example, when I have to use long-term parking at the airport, or stay overnight in an area I may not be familiar with. And, as you said, trips where I may need to haul things. It's nice to have an extra vehicle when one of the others is in the shop. Or to be able to drive whichever one is clean and gassed up!

Although the Sky will be my only CAR, I commute to work on a Yamaha VMax bike. We only get snow on the ground 3 or 4 days a year, so with the right gear it's motorcycle weather year round. And my wife has a Toyota Rav-4.

smart move. the VUE will be perfect for a 16 year old, plenty of room for the friends who mooch, and great storage space for college.

I have a 2006 Ion Red Line Competition Pkg coupe so they will be driven equally during the warmer months and the Ion only when needed in the winter.

only one for me

I drove Mini-vans,SUV'S, 4 Doors,3 Doors, and everyone elses P.O.S. And when my baby moved out last year my hubby bought my SKY that I had been waiting for , for 7 years. It came 3 months early so I had to trade in my 2000 LS300, when my baby came early. But I am also the ONLY one who drives it.

Sky will be the summertime fun car here on LI in NY

I'm keeping the 2003 Saab 9-5 as my daily driver, which is just fine, because it's an awesome car and lotsa fun to drive. I don't want to be scooting around here in the winter time in a rwd roadster. Also I need the trunk space in the Saab on occasion.

I actually bought the Sky as a surprise gift for my wife, and she loves the car, but she loves her minivan even more. To each his or her own.

Heh! I have my SC2, still, as well - I've tried selling it (the dealer wasn't going to give me anything reasonable); but I'll admit, i've not tried very hard. Considering that it costs me about $30/month in insurance and that's it, I really don't have an incentive to get rid of it, other than the fact that the cash from it can help pay for things like an Avic-z2 or some performance mods for the sky.

It's just handy to have the "beater" whenever the weather's miserable.

For Sale: 2002 Special Edition Miata

Just put my "For Sale" sign on my beautiful Special Edition Mica Miata. You should see the things I could pack in that little car! God, I'm gonna miss my "little truck". Since this is my only car, I don't know how I'm gonna haul all my stuff around when my 2008 Midnight Blue Sky Redline gets in. But then...I really don't care!
