07s have a vacuum pump to make vacuum in the booster when engine vacuum is low.....08s don't have the booster, however use the ABS system to assist in braking. This causes a weird pedal vibration and may cause it to ratchet to the floor.

However, it doesn't seem to be working to well for some people....they are still getting a firm pedal as the car isn't assisting as it should. For the most part, it only happens on a cold start right away....some have noticed it after extended periods of time with the cruise on.

I have noticed that when I start my Sky Redline for the first time the RPM's is above 1000 and the engine is racing. If I put it in reverse it wants to race and I have to apply the brake very hard. I know wait about 30 seconds and stab at the gas pedle and when the RPM'S come under 1000 it is normal. The brakes stop the car. I brought this to the attention of my sales person and he told me it had to do with the tubo. He told me to wait a few seconds before putting it in gear. I was never told this when I purchased the car. When you do not know you can have a very bad accident. Why would GM allow faulty brakes or this kind of problem? Don't they realize what kind od law suit they can have?

Welcome to the forums! I'm glad you discovered this problem before you had an accident. If you search on brakes in this forum, you will find a boatload of discussion on this problem.

Bulletin From GM

I received in the mail from Saturn a bulletin regarding a "Brake Calibration" available for 08 'SKY RL. I knew this damn thing couldn't have been normal. I've scraped the bottom of the front bumper so many damn times coming out of my drive way because the damn brakes didn't work.
