When they say "summer release" they really mean on the last day of summer (hopefully).

I would say we'll be lucky to see it before October. I do hope that more info will be forthcoming before that though.

Technically (and how else do engineers take things), Summer starts on June 21 or 22, the Summer Solstice, and lasts until the Autumnal Equinox in September. So most of June is a part of Spring, technically.

Here is Seattle, where it's raining and in the 40s today and we're getting loads of fresh snow in the mountains, June is feeling a lot like November, which is, of course, technically during the Fall season.

It's all a matter of perspective.

Yah I'm in the same kinda thinking. If everyone remembers that the "fix" for the running rich thing was to happen in the early spring of last year...still waiting on that one

That is of course the perspective of those in the Northern Hemisphere. I'm sure there are a lot of folks in South America, Australia and New Zealand who have a different perspective.

(And yes, I am one of those "literal-minded" engineers. )

That's because they are all standing upside down. Everyone knows that north is up!

Yeah and they must have magnets or something on their shoes because they haven't fallen off the world yet (Another engineer thinking outside the box here)

i was speaking to the service manager at my dealership. he said he has heard of this and also heard there will be stages. he mentioned a stage II where you get the ECM tune plus injectors. he didnt know when it will be out but he sure knew exactly what i was talking about.

i asked him about upgrades and warranties in general and how they do things there. i asked him if i had an aftermarket BOV or IC would it void the warranty? he gave me this look like, no way dude. ill take care of you. he said most techs dont care about that stuff and "id be surprised" at what they will let slide.

not sure if he is just that cool or if saturn is that laid back. never owned one before now.

That's the way it is at my dealer. They even do a lot of my aftermarket work. Many dealers however have service managers who are REAL anal about that stuff and the techs have to go along with it. They will try to bully you to thinking it will void your warranty. They probably get away with it with a lot of people. If anyone's dealer is that way, find another dealer. Move if you have too!

The first saturn dealer I ever dealt with told me that if I upgraded my stereo with an aftermarket one, my ENTIRE warranty would be voided!!

Info On Upgrade

From my available information, this is a ECM/TCM recalibration. It's difficult to locate any other info as GM has not officially announced in our system when the calibrations will become available.

Please do keep us informed about this, if you can. I'm sure that I'm not the only one here dying for more info on this upgrade...

Thanks.

The dealership where I bought my Sky is an Official Saturn Speed shop.
I am not sure if that is the correct term.
Anywho, one of the guys came over and was telling me about the 3 different stages that they can do and that as long as it is installed there, all of these are under warranty.
He point me to
Saturn Motorsports Restyling Performance All Things Saturn Tuner Aftermaket Vue Sky Aura SC1 ION
which has the exact stuff we are talking about at Here

I am doing my Magnaflow exhaust first and then getting the chip. I haven't decided if I want to get the
Intake & ICP Kit
to go with it, but will most likely will

As I understood it, Saturn Motorsports is not actually part of Saturn, they are just a 3rd party group who happens to sell parts to various Saturn dealerships.

Even though your dealership might say that they will change your ECM and still cover your warranty, that does NOT mean that any other dealership will. Furthermore, if your engine blows up and you need $10K worth of repairs, don't be surprised when even your dealership tries to get out of it (especially when Saturn corporate says that you aren't covered).

Now, is it likely that this will happen, NO, but it is certainly possible.

Can anyone confirm here what the real story is with Saturn Motorsports? Do they really have any true standing with Saturn when it comes to warranty and such?

That tune doesnt really do much so i wouldnt bother with it. Westers Garage has a new race tune for the 2007 solstice/sky that ups the boost to 23+psi and nets almost 300rwhp, a 2008 tune is due soon. I would rather spend my money on that.

Interesting, I did not know that.
I'll have to talk with the dealership more about that.
They already gave me the thumbs up on the Magnaflow Cat Back

So exactly how does one get this Saturn Flash then?
