Blow-Off Valves

Hey guys... I know Hahn makes a blow-off valve for our cars. But does anyone else? Just trying to find out what my options are...

Also... I noticed Hahn has 3 different types... Open Discharge, Recirculating, and Recirculating with plumbing. Which one is the correct one for our cars?

To be honest... main reason for us getting one (as silly as it sounds) is we just want that "whoosh" sound from a BOV

so gimmie some input and point me in the right direction! Thanks guys!

If you install a cold air intake or even a K&N air filter and the "whoosing" sound will be louder than stock.

If you really want a louder sound, you need an atmospheric dump bov but that will make our cars run like crap due to the Draw thru maf.

In other words, you're better off leaving it quiet.

Or you can purchase an intake pipe for the driver's side that has the MAF element moved downstream from the BOV. (blow thru maf)
I have had my car like this since I put the GT30R on there (over 15k miles) and my stage kits are optioned this way.

You must however have HPT so you can tune the maf transfer correctly.

Very loud, scares women and children!

Oh, I didn't know anyone that had tuned a Blow Thru yet. Good to know. In my experience draw to blow conversions are very picky and need to be dyno tuned. Is it the same for the Sky?

Maybe that Greddy Type S taking up space in my room will be put to use one day, lol.

you dont need a dyno, just HPT and some simple histograms. Tune using LTFT's at first then STFT's to get teh MAF transfer correct. Then there is the Load vs Rpm MAf correction table for fine tuning weird spots in the map.

Sky/soltice/HHRSS/Cobalt SS all can go to blow thru with simple tuning.
That pipe was one I pieced together from scaps left over from other projects for our solstice.
I was exploring the possibilty of blowthru/vs drawthru on the stage 1's.
