Brought my Aura XR to the dealer for service left with a ...
loaded Silver Pearl RL! Ever since the first time I spied a Sky rolling down the street I‘ve been crazy about the design.
Now, as I waited for service on my Aura I couldn't resist taking that glistening RL sitting in the lot for a test drive. That was all it took...trade-in, sign the papers and then the back mountain roads from Santa Fe to Phoenix. Awesome!!

I've been reading this forum from the shadows for a while now, listing to everyone praise the little car. Now I know!

Here are some pics, hope you can see them OK the light was a little dim.

Welcome, and Barry is right, you picked the fastest color. (Of course we both own Silver Pearl RLs) I was the same way, took my Saturn L300 in for the last service and drove out with my Sky. Enjoy the ride, I know I do.

Bro you made the right choice- you will now be grinning like an idiot at yourself every now and then particularly when the turbo is spooling up. This is completely normal and you would, in fact, be a very strange person if anything else happened.

Silver Pearl is OK. Kinda got used to it after the last couple of years.

Doesn't it make you mad that they can't get all the body panels to match.

Yours is the same as mine. They say they can't match metal with plastic, but my Acura all the panels plastic or metal match perfectly.

Even the fiberglas parts I had painted by my painter match the car.

I see it in pictures mostly. Makes me want to paint the car. I think they should fix it though, but they gracefully say they are all like that and damn they are!

Also look for spots in the paint you can see the grey primer. I have found a few on mine.

Still love the car, but GM suks at paint.

Yeah, silver pearl is the fastest. That’s why I got it. LOL

I checked the paint pretty closely at the dealer. besides a very faint clearcoat scratch between the humps on the trunk it looks good. I've only had it for a week so I'm sure I'll discover some more imperfections as time passes. In the pictures it was late dusk and my camera flash was activated. That may be the shade difference in the paint. Hopefully.
Tonight in a supermarket parking lot a few people couldn’t get over how great the color looked. I had to agree

Does the turbo normally not spool in 1st? the gear seems so low I'm normally out and in 2nd before the turbo spools.

Looking forward to this weekend….

I may be wrong...but from the pictures, it appears they changed the halogen lamps to white...that's the way it appears....and congrats. The best color, everyone knows is RUBY RED. Here is my baby.

This must be a new 08 issue. My Silver matches all the way accross and around. I do see where the door on his pic looks different though!

Ok, now that I'm freaking out about my paint I thought I would take a couple more shots in different light. Does there still appear to be a mismatch? I can't really tell.
