I've never had a vehical on chassis dyno, only engine dyno. I've seen some as rollers and some that attach to the hubs. What's good and bad about both and what's the opion of you guys and girls out there on which would be best for my sky. Thanks Ya'll

Doesn't matter which dyno you choose, just continue using the same one when you start adding mod's and want to see the hp gains.

And remember that is only differences from the pre-mod to post-mod pulls that mean anything, and then only if done under the same conditions and using the same technique. Preferably by the same operator.

The hub-attached dynos seem to be less sensitive to operator technique.

Agreed. Be advised some places put the resistance to minimal to make it look like you have tons of Hp and torque. Few people want to hear bad news when they do a mod. If you keep going to the same place though, your deltas will be correct.

Case-in-point about 2 years ago there was a big broo-ha-ha about the CAI that I insisted would not give 20 extra Hp but was flamed to death stating that Fujita wouldn't lie about their product. Since I had a Pontiac Firehawk with a very good ram-air system yielding only a 1% Hp gain I had my doubts of a 10% gain by Fujita on an unshielded conical filter, unless, of course, your OEM filter was a block of pine.

So true. Eloy at RPI is always being accused of being too stingy on his dyno numbers. But he is always honest with his customers; whether they want to hear it or not. The dyno is a great gauge but the proof is at the track.
Soon, I'll have some very interesting redline dyno numbers for everyone...Stay Tuned!!!
