Still worth checking up on... not a heavily enforced law, but depending on the state, lights on the front half of the car have to be in the range from amber to white, regardless of which way they are facing.
Like I said, might be worth checking depending on where you live.

Also, check your local state laws and
city and county ordinances. Some places are becoming less restrictive on the blue light, and state that they have to be "rotating or oscillating" to be unlawful. Also, some states restrict other colors; red for LE/Fire, Green for EMS, purple for Funeral escort vehicles.
Just fair warning from an EX-cop. I never bothered with any of those things, but I had buddies who would write them every time.
