Hahn, RPI, or Dejon Intercooler???

I just did a search and didn't find much... Which one is biggest and will give me the most "BANG"?? Price doesn't matter... I just want whichever one flows better and provides max cooling. Also, I'm not very educated on intercoolers so heres my next question... Are these intercoolers Bar&Plate or Tube&Fin?? Thanks in advance, MAX

They are Bar & Plate Intercoolers.

The biggest is the Hahn, if money is no issue than the Hahn would be my choice, but the Dejon one is very good and a smaller price.

If your not going to ever upgrade your turbo, the Dejon will handle anything you throw at it.

There is also the RPI intercooler that gets great reviews. Any one of these 3 will work great.

I personally went with Hahn and am very happy with it!

I have the RPI intercooler; good performance. I'll let everyone know in a few weeks how it works with a much larger turbo on the redline!

Hahn is the biggest at 864 cubic inch sq. and its only $749 right now, regular price is $999 so better act quick.
While the dejon and rpi are smaller and around 672 cubic inch sq. the dejon is like $550 and the rpi one is $925... ya go with the hahn no question or the dejon if you're strapped for cash.

I'm also thinking of getting the Hahn Intercooler. I was wondering if installing it was too difficult and did you need to do any cutting like I see in necessary on the GXP. Also was hoping to find out if it changes the exhaust note of the car. Please any information would be helpful.
Thanks

The install took me 4 hours by myself. And yes you do have to cut the shroud, at least I had too!

The Hahn is 4" thick so you do ned to shave a little off the shroud to fit over the wider intercooler.

I would not call it easy, but as long as you follow the instructions and have a basic knowledge of automotive repairs you can do it.

As far as the exhaust tone, I didn't notice any change but I have read that some say it does.

If you order the Hahn you can call them and have them paint the Hahn logo on the front of the intercooler.

Yeah, I had them put the logo on mine in Red. I thought the red on silver should look great. Just checked UPS and my order should be at my door on the 24th. The old lady will have to put it in the garage for me as I won't even be home from Kuwait till the 30th or so and probably won't take delivery of my SKY RL till the 1st! I'm so excited!!!!

The Hahn intercooler instructions could be better. It tells you where to cut the shroud and I believe it shows a picture of the cut shroud in place on the car. It would be better to see pics of the shroud on the bench before and after cutting. ( I do better with pictures.)

Wow! good for you bro!

I ordered mine today!!!! Hopefully, I'll receive my intercooler w/ Red logo this week or early next week.

I also purchased the Hahn/BSR PPC tuner as well!

I will have my car dynoed this week...so I'll have an idea what the baseline power is.

Then next week, after the intercooler is installed....I'll have it dynoed too. After a couple of runs, I'll install the program of Hahn/BSR ppc tuner.

This way, I'll know exactly how much the intercooler will give me in terms of whp.....as well as the BSR ppc tuner

Hopefully, I'll get great results....and I will definitely post the graphs once they're done!

Ceeker,

I have seen a picture of a SKY RL with a RPI Intercooler without the black mess grill on at all. How do you think that would look with the Hahn? I really like the look of no grill and all intercooler... MAX

I know it will look awesome! You can do it, but you have to consider those rocks or whatever that might cause big or small damage/dents your precious intercooler though.

Yeah I kinda had that in the back of my mind. But I have never had any radiator problems from that type of damage in the past even with an open grill, so I guess my question is, Is the intercooler any more delicate or fragile than the radiator?? MAX

I think it would look fine. I personally prefer the grill left on, but to each his own!
