Havin trouble keepin my lid up!

"Heavy" trunk lid fix

Do this, no drilling. Although in that picture, where it hooks on the left, its NOT the best place to put it, if the springs aren't quite taught enough they'll slide right off the bar.
Instead of putting it on the end of that bar, put it on the OTHER side of the flat metal piece, where the bar bends so that the spring can't pop off. It makes quite a loud bang if it pops off while the trunk is closed the way it is in the picture

Regarding the video..although I prefer the leather seat appearance...those r the best non leather seats I have seen in a SKY...the factory r just plain ugly.

haha yeah it does pop off, did that to me too.

the place i tried to drill was the very end of the bar so it really wouldnt effect the integrity any, not from that little spring anyway.

i tried putting it in that flat section but couldnt get it to wedge in there. is there a trick involved with this?

I put it on after the bend then slid it down to the flat metal piece

i tried it again and got it to work. it doesnt lift if theres some wind though. prolly cause i have some plastidip on my trunk lid causing friction with the flaps.
