High Temp

Just curious, what is the highest temp recorded by your D.I.C. while moving?

Do you drive it?
Mine runs about 194 normally, the highest I've seen is 205 in the winter (Florida winter) with the heat on high and the top down.

I don't pay attention. I think it varies depending on whether or not I'm having a good run!

For normal driving down the TN highways my temp will vary between 192 and 199. During stop and go traffic it has reached as high as 217 and then drops down again once I get flying.

Thanks for your responses. I should have been more clear, I was wondering what your DIC said about air temps while moving Mine will be stuck at 98 when I know its 106ish, I wonder if moisture can affect anything?

Possibly........Found that for some reason that if the fluid level gets too high the temp will steadily climb until the excess fluid is drained. Can't explain it.

2006 DIC's didn't have that (outside) option so I only can discuss engine temp

most of the time it's in the 190's

I didn't know that older DICs did not perform that function.

With that said, the air temp on my DIC has only been off by 1-2 degrees while moving. When I first get into the car after work, I have seen it as high as 112. Again once I get moving that changes.
