Intercooler Cleaning

How does everybody clean their intercooler? I have some bugs that have hardened and even after repeated soaking with the hose I still can not get them to rinse off.

I use a pressure washer from the back on my diesel. Need to remove the radiator first. Clean that the same way as well.

i use a brush made for cleaning tubes in fish tanks. i find a strudy one and bend around an inch or so of the end at a right angle, poke it through the grill and pick/scrub away and blow in shots of air from my compressor to blow the debri away as it is picked off ------teadious and i don't do it too often, but try it dry first then try to scrub wet - bug gets get sticky again when you rehydrate them :-)

You can use a long nose or a pair of tweezers.....and manually pick them up.

then use a hi pressure water hose....

voila....looks new again.

Pressure washer at the car wash is the only way I have found to get them all off. I just wash the intercooler off, not the whole car, If you do not want to worry about having to detail the thing again.
