Paint or not to paint

Has anyone ever painted the interior grid on the front to a lighter color...other than black.....maybe silver???

Are there any pictures.

I assumed it was the honeycomb grills in the forward air intakes.

Could be and would make sense. I just saw interior and thought interior of the car.

John has it right. The metL diamond grid. I wont call it a grill because it is virtually invisible. I said "interior" because they are not like a grill that is on the outside. They are well set back into the hollow. Wish it was honeycomb...6 sided.

Are you talking about the lower intake that directs air over the Intercooler and radiator or the upper "grill" where the Saturn logo is? The upper grill is solid...you would have to cut out the spaces between the diamonds to get airflow through it (and be able to paint it a color that makes it look something other than a solid sheet of painted plastic).

The bottom one you can just take out and paint.

Yes, but has anyone got a picture of it in a lighter color?
I dont want to paint it and then have to repaint it black because the silver looks like hell.

I would really like a honey comb in chrome. But the aftermarket ones seem to be mounted up front instead of back like the original.

I think the aftermarket ones are like the billet ones I have...they attach to the existing grill work.

What color is your Sky again BlueR....uh...oh...never mind. Guessing it's Blue. LOL Oh it certainly is Monday isn't it? LOL

With the dark car I'm not sure how painted silver would look. I'm not a big fan of grill colors other than the traditional Black or Chrome. Painted silver, to me, seems like it would look cheesy on a dark car like the Midnight Blue. On a Bluestone or Hydro Blue...especially with the latters silver stripes, the silver would probably look really good.
