Info that I pulled before Compnine went down showed 4724 Model and Year matches on a 2007 NA VIN. It only showed 4700 with the engine code LE5. Not really sure what the other 24 that matched the NA Model were. Maybe they were ordered as NA's, but converted to RL spec, or pre-production models??

So if 4,724 number is correct there 11,843 2007 RL's produced, if the 4700 is correct there were 11,867 RL's produced. I don't have a Manual/Auto breakdown though, sorry.

The info I pulled with the VIN of my '08 shows 8,163 with an LNF (maybe the Daewoo conversions account for this difference). It also shows 4,529 with the manual transmission (TRANSMISSION MAN 5 SPD, AISIN, 82 MM, 3.753 1ST, 0.729 5TH 5 SPD M/TRANS(MA5).

An '09 RL VIN showed 2,267 LNF's, and 1,271 with the Manual (TRANSMISSION MAN 5 SPD, AISIN, 82 MM, 3.753 1ST, 0.729 5TH 5 SPD M/TRANS(MA5)).

Not sure where these number differences come from. Anyone have any idea if any of the NA's were built with the RL manual gear ratios?

Some say that the workers at the factory changed something at the last cars to leave the production line in 2010 to make them sort of special editions....Anyone heard anything about that ?

Yes. On the last car , the hood cover was left off and some of us signed the inside of the hood. ( the cover was then installed, so the new owner might not even know that they are there )There are some pictures on an employees facebook page. I'll see if I can find them.

The compnine info shows 24 Daewoo's with the LNF engine were made in '07, so this would account for the "missing" 24 cars.

I just saw another post and it looks like Compnine is back up! I'm on my phone right now so I haven't tried it, but it looks like it's not free?

Interesting website. Typed my VIN in and it came back with:

Vehicle: SKY 2 DR CONVERTIBLE
Year: 2008
Build Date: 2007-10-30

Found 12,894 vehicles matching your year and model in our database.

Rarity...
There are 2 2008 SKY 2 DR CONVERTIBLE vehicles (0.016%) matching your exact options list. There are 6 (0.047%) with at least as many options."

Come on, only 2 built like mine? That's tough to believe

One of the RPO's it's comparing is for the build week, so during that time period there were only 2. So, the rarity number means something, it's just not meaningful in the sense that we want it to be.

IF you had ordered or bought your Kappa with "Mud Flaps" that could put you into the Rear Category....
Good judgement to compare your car with others for that years built would be the "Exterior Color". Their were 236 Sunburst Yellow built for the 2009 Saturn Sky but I don't know how many were NA or Turbo's...
Who cares, except for the Solstice Coupe owners who are counting their millions already!

What my vin number means

So I looked up my Vin # & according to compnine my sky b-day is 9/6/06, there are 4,724 vehicles matching your year and model, & There are 1 2007 SKY 2 DR CONVERTIBLE vehicles (0.021%) matching your exact options list. There are 4 (0.085%) with at least as many options. As of today I have 4035 miles on her. I have only had her about a month & put 1700 miles on her since I bought my Black Sky. Weather permitting I drive to work 30 miles each way, sometimes more when I travel for hospice. Should I be adding all these miles?
