Replacment tires (upgrade)

What are the best non-stock replacement tires du-jour for our vehicles? I plan on running stock size in the front and 275/40-18 in the rear. I was considering Goodyear F1-DS3 tires. Longevity is not an issue. At least 5000 miles is nice though.

Certainly one of the best performing tire vs the competition and similar type tires. In fact this is tire I am looking at also to replace the OEM's on my 07 roadster. Check out the stats vs its peers..

Consumer Survey Results By Category)

That other #1 tire tied with it is also under consideration with me, always been a fan of Michelin's, always have had great luck and they never wear out..

I am surprised tho, being that you are Colorado that you are considering these wheels. I would not drive on them if say it is below freezing.. They don't appear to be as "agile". I look at them for my state most definitely..

I ran these on my 1999 Pontiac Firehawk with no ill-effect for 6 years here in Denver and 2 years in North Dakota!

Upon rereading the OP I retract all statements.

But you being from Denver ... consider "Ultra High Performance All-Season tires. The top seven are all so good it comes down to cost and tread design you prefer.

Consumer Survey Results By Category List for 'Ultra High Performance - All Season' list.

If you look carefully at the #1 on my list ... you will notice it is #3 on "MidnightBlues" ... but the performance rating numbers on each tire strangely have changed. These numbers are not from TireRack test track testing ... but from readers who participated in a tire survey. So month to month the number's jump around. Use this information as a guide and then read each spec-info section on the tires you are impressed with. This month's #1 may be next month's #7. Take the "Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season" reinforced by spirally wound "DuPont Keviar" ... it has been #1 in previous survey's and should be a serious Denver conideration still.

I've read a lot of great reviews for the Falken Azenis 615. A street tire with R compound type grip.
