Simple REDLine Mods

Hey fellow REDline owners..
Ive had my REDline for about a year now,
2008 25k miles, black on black..
Im curious what small mods I can do to it to increase
performance a little before I go crazy down the road
with an engine rebuild... Any suggestions on chips, intake,
other small suggestions?
Thanks
Eric

These seem to be the first two mods of many owners!

My favorite mod was a LIMITED EDITION badge I put on the rear and on the dash!
After all only 35K or so were built.

The engine mods were too expensive for me. Gone are the days of adding a capacitive discharge ignition system, or fancy spark plugs.

I left mine alone and still beat a big Mustang at the drag strip.

Enjoy the Sky!

In all seriousness, some things that I'm planning on doing:

DDM brake upgrade (rotors, pads, ss lines, fluid)
Z0K front and rear swaybars
lowering springs
DDM backbone and pro-beam
weight reduction - it's free!
GMPP tune
non all-season tires (I just ordered Hankook Ventus RS3's, personally)

mine already had an exhaust and K&N drop-in filter when I bought it

The car, lol. I'm getting back into weight lifting a bit heavier, so I'll end up gaining about 15 lbs. Just means the car needs to shed some more weight! It's amazing how much random stuff the Sky carries around, and how quickly it adds up.

Besides, weight is a very poor measurement of personal fitness. Body fat percentage is much better!

Consider improving handling before adding torque (although both are better.) Consider the DDM ProBeam and BackBone to stiffen the chassis the way GM should have done it. Then add ZOK sway bars (at least in the rear) and polyurethane bushings, and a set of adjustable coilover spring/shocks - BG or KW depending on how deep your pockets are. After that, better tires and a more 'aggressive' alignment.

For quick power improvement, consider a re-tune (HP or Trifecta), a high-flow cat, and a Hahn, Werks or DDM intercooler.

Sorry to contradict anyone but, if the car still has stock tires, this should be the order of events:

1. Get rid of the garbage rubber and replace with RE-11's, Pilot SS's, etc... (I STILL need to post my write up on my PSS's... maybe soon...)

2. Anything else. (I plan to do brakes next cause I'm sure they're coming due, )
