Guys has anyone in here tried to place a start engine button in our car ?
I just saw this in ebay.de and i thought it could be a nice touch, what do you think ?
That is sweet. Even though it's hidden I'd be afraid of the wrong person noticing it's there. Some sort of radio frequency chip to activate it would be sweet.

Just how large were you expecting a miniaturized chip to be?? We aren't talking about potato chips here and they come a lot smaller than the one shown in TS's post.

I guess I'm just an old codger, because I don't get the big deal about push button start.
I agree. I suppose I could see doing it as a curiosity or trying to pretend you were really driving another car that had it (like a Ferrari) if that were your bag and it was an easy task, but given that it apparently isn't easy, I can't see the point.
All my earlier cars came with pull or push start knobs, so maybe it just has no novelty for me.

My old MGs all have hand crank as a back up measure when your battery goes flat. Comes in handy for setting valves (if you remember that)
