20 inch rims seen on a Opel GT in germany

What do you think about the 20 inch rims shown in the pic below?

Tires are 245/35 so the total size fits exactly the 18 inch tire/rim stock size.

The car is lowered about 1.7 inch with Eibach Lowering Springs Sportline.

The whole kit (lowering, rims, tires) is aboaut $4000.00

more information (german )

They look nice. I think 20's are too big for most cars for my taste but to each his own. Enjoy them!

Nice, but expensive.... I'd be interested to see if there were some that would fit in our budget.....

Just Alright

I personally don't like the way they look but to each their own.

Out of scale to the size of the car. Gone too far.

rims

I think that the size is not the problem its the spoke count its to heavy looking for such a small car and it apears they stick out past the finderwell but not sure. I think though they look pretty good. I have 20's and they fit the car well. Are you having problems with the tires rubbing the well in the front when you are turning? I was gong to go with the 35 size and the tire guy siad the with the lowering of the car it would rub on the wells so I opted for a 30 size instead.

looks nice and mean but they will definately worsen your acceleration times!
(unsprung weight is a bad thing also..)

I think they look good, but as others have said the weight and increased diameter are going to kill traction and acceleration. I would much rather stick to +1 on the Sky, IF THAT. I'd be more interested in increasing the width in the rear. Its a good design tho.

Not for me...

Just my own personal opinion, but I've always kinda thought the OEM's were done bigger than your average already. It fit well with the sleek, low lines of this roadster.

The 20's just seem to push over the top though. I have to side with the original designers on their wheel choices. For my own tastes, I wouldn't change a thing. Polished OEM's for me please.

Later,

those rims do not fit the car...they overwhelm the styling of the OPEL thereby diminishing it's appearance....it draws attention to the wheels rather than styling....and it is negative at best.

This fall, the SKY gets a new set of rims, chromed alloy....look into it.

How do those change the look of the car any more than all the chrome 19s and 20s people are putting on?

I don't care for oversizing, etc. The combination of tires and wheels need to be carefully picked to optimize performance on the street, cornering and at the track. I've seen 10 to as much as 60hp loss from peoples choices of wheels on the sky.

By overwhelming an area of any car, u r drawing too much attention...it's like a woman's dress, it should fit her lines..flattering her figure...that's the best I can say.
