Anyone with a Mallet SKY? Questions...

Does anyone here have a Mallett SKY? With winter now here, I am contemplating doing this to my base SKY. I would love to hear about your experiences, pros/cons, etc.

I have emailed them , and there is a 4-5 week lead time, so getting it done in time for spring in Michigan is not a problem.

I love my SKY, but the tought of getting a V8 installed is too tempting!

I will try and be helpful...are there any specific questions you have to ask?

My particular experience was somewhat unique in that the dealer messed up the direct ship to Mallett in Ohio, but on the good side I was able to drive it there and see Chuck's shop.

I love the car, but it is somewhat a work in progress...it ran a little hot here in the 100 degree Summer of Arizona, so I had to swap out the fan and thin the coolant. There seems to be a systemic leak in the steering fluid as well, but the Mallett guys have worked with me to resolve all the issues that I have had to date. Overall I would say it has been a really great experience and would reccomend the car to anyone who can affort it. One other down side, the thing is a major gas hog...15mpg city is doing well. Highway is better ...maybe 20-23mpg. But it does put Porches and BMW's to shame while burning the petrolium and sounds better than ANYTHING I have ever heard.

is it possible for you to get any videos of driving and sounds? we'd all love to hear them. Especially how that thing must move under hard acceleration

I remember one member posted a LONG time ago with a mallet, but i couldn't find that thread in a search.
