anybody know of any 2.4's with a turbo running around 400whp?
Yes, and know of some pushing more then that, but on the stock 2.4L on the Solstice, 350whp is at the upper limits of what you would want to run daily on a stock bottom end for reliability. The stock 2.4L pistons are not designed to see those kind of cylinder pressures/temps with their upper ring lands.
Just an update! I have finally acquired a sky redline! right now it has just a 50/50 e85 tune and intake manifold and I was able to make a 1/4 pass at 12.91 @ 106.7mph! I love this car!!
Ya I absolutely love it honestly! I didn't do any kind of Dyno yet, still just slightly checking up on the car and seeing what's up. It came bone stock though yes. And I still have the cobalt and here soon the motor swapping should be going underway. Thanks guys
I figured as much, but just wanted to make sure it wasn't something crazy like race fuel with E85
10 degrees of extra timing makes a HUGE difference on our motors.
I could not believe how much more power it gave my Sky when I switched to E47.
It was night and day
yessir! See I'm from the cobalt world. In my cobalt I had the LNF motor and had it all built and big turbo and yada yada, putting down 572 WHP. with a few manifold changes and turbo change because the manifold isnt the same on the sky from the cobalt. Also I just want a bigger turbo lol. Now with rwd, the sky is the limit
I'm on the Cobalt forum. Have you already mocked up the engine? Just know that its a very tight fit. Even the BNR is barely clearing the chassis, so look into that. Also RWD, what are your goals? You'll loose some power through the drivetrain comparred to the F35.
