This thread is for showing the difference between kappa's exhaust systems sound
Post your Video with Information as to type of system configuration you are showing in the video.
The sound from the video should be coming out of an exhaust that is running 750 - 800 RPM's. In other words, edit out the Cold starts!

I'm trying to get on THIS thread are sounds that we can compare Solo, Werks, Magnaflow, etc. etc. or any other down pipe cat in relationship to different types of cat backs that our Kappas have...
Lets say: Cross Reference kind of thing between different high flow or cat-less down pipes and the cat back setups...
Not looking for loud noises in this thread, just comparing different exhaust system setups we can obtain for our Kappa's...

Hi
I have a Solo Mach and a Solo HF, i Like the sound except a bubbling effect that i hear, that i think is quite normal in aftermarket systems. i hear it all the time on other cars as well.
Sometimes its almosed gone and sometimes its more than ususal. In my mind, the tune probably have something to do with the sound, due to the variation. And its more potent at low revs >2200 when lifting of the gasfot at cruise.
do you know what mean?
Fat tune? fuel burning in manfold?
on the 2.4L, the SOLO header, hi-flow cat and NA-single exhaust together are extremely mellow, deep-toned and has absolutely no ricey 'burble.' normally, a 4-banger with that many mods will sound like a giant weed-trimmer coming down the road...SOLO makes great stuff!
These videos are with the SOLO header, hi-flow cat and exhaust as well as K&N intake system installed.
Yes no Cold starts, even my Nissan sounds like it gargling when I first start it up, then it gets into its normal RPM's and it sound like a zipper....
OK I'm going to ask YOU and you can give us an explanation, Why is it dumb?
glad you asked. if somebody is interested in a particular exhaust they will want to know what it sounds like from cold start to redline, not what it sounds like at idle. its pointless listening to a 4banger at idle, theres no lope or anything interesting to listen to like a v8. besides how often is you vehicle at idle when you drive it? say someone listens to a clip of it idleing only they wont know how loud it is at cold start which is very deceptive. my solo street race catback was super loud during a cold start but once it warmed up the idle sounded normal and not loud, deceptive, and when you got on it it was loud, again deceptive just from watching an idle video since it doesnt show that. got a friend with an 08 mustang gt and his car is the same, super loud cold start, normal idle, and loud wot.
thats why its dumb.
i do realize that if someone is truly interested in a particular setup they will research this or ask about it but why make them ask when you can show off you car in the first place.
