Does it make it easier to get in and out of the car? I don't want to do it if it's not at least as easy as stock. I have big feet and have somewhat of a problem getting my feet out with the stock opening even when the door is fully opened. My garage is a little narrow so I can't open my door fully. I thought maybe if the door went vertical it might make it easier. Also, my wife has said she doesn't like the looks of VDI so I sure don't want to make it harder for her to get out.
I would appreciate your input - or anyone else that has experience with them.

I don't have them, but I've seen folks that do...
There are Pros & Cons for useability. The Cons (as I see it) are that it's a bit more cumbersome to open the doors, in that you have to open the doors conventionally a little way before you pivot them up. So they are NOT like lambo's etc, where they pivot up immediately. The other issue as I see it, is that you have to be really careful when opening/closing the hood, as it's really easy to smash the doors against the hood if you do one or other while the other is opening/closing.
Pro's are that you WILL find it easier to get your feet out and it's especially useful in a narrow garage (as long as you have the height available of course) where you can't open the doors normally all the way.
