Hello, new to saturn..

How are you doing guys? ..
Well after seeing various Saturn Skys around Tucson, Arizona. (Home of the 110F+)
I think i made my choice of buying one.
I currently have an SRT-4, i am a turbo guy, so redline will be my option.
Before i do anything, I had a few questions about upgrades on it..
I didn't read anything about you guys turning up the boost on the redline..
is there after market wastegates? .. what do you guys use?
tunning. Have you guys tuned the redline? lets say with an safc2 or any sort of piggyback?

and with the single turbo, have any of you guys maxed out the stock turbo? hp?

better yet, if there is a link where i can read all this ill be glad to read it all

let me know guys.
thanks
Sergio

Congratulations!

Congratulations, Sergio! I am in Mesa. Just ordered my Sky 2008 and can hardly wait to receive it. Can't answer any technical questions, but believe me you'll have lots of support on this forum. People are so kind and knowledgable. I learn something about my car every day.
Take care,
Linda

You might also try < Competing Forum URL Removed By Moderator >. Nothing against this place here, but some of the guys over at < Competing Forum URL Removed By Moderator > are much more knowledgeable when it comes to the nitty-gritty technical details. Plus, those guys over there are more your 'tuner' crowd, whereas here you have more of your 'roadster go out and cruise around' crowd. Make sense?

But to my knowledge, nobody has cracked the ECU yet, so there's no tuning options. The turbo is supposedly pretty efficiently maxed out, and most people are saying you will be able to see better end gains from buying a 2.4 N/A SKY and adding an aftermarket turbo. Lastly, Saturn is sort of the red-headed step child of GM when it comes to performance parts (see history of the ION Redline compared to the Cobalt SS/SC) and gets very little love at all. That said, there isn't a whole lot of performance options for the Redline still right now.

Umm...your info seems to be significantly out of date.

For the 2.0? Really? Eh...I don't do as much hanging out on here as I used to. 'Course, that's why I started with "to my knowledge..." Obviously, my knowledge was limited. Thanks guys!

Welcome!!! I would definitely check out any posts on here from RPI. Eloy is an awesome guy and is happy to answer any questions on here or by phone. If RPI is not supporting the mod, then I wouldn't do it. I know everybody gets excited about modding and everyone wants speed but these cars are so new and we are still seeing some of the little bugs getting worked out. PM me if you have any questions. I do love Srt4's. Awesome power plants!
