HEY!!!!! How damn cool is THIS !!!

http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/16701405.htm

If you from the KC area, you know the location where this is going to be situated. As they say in NASCAR, this is AWESOME!!! Regretfully, the web site does not show the graphics of the track layout that is in the newspaper article.

Here is more ---

Some certainly DO have plenty of fundage. Not me. But what this means is a another race track, and this one in my back yard!! These tracks tend to open themselves to non membership events from time to time to generate more income, and this one will be no different. They also become locations for SCCA events and vintage races. Now I need to find out if there is an employment opportunity. Hey, there may be perks!!!

We have one not far from where I live (They call it the Autobahn Country Club)...
$30k to join and $3K a year dues.
You can buy a plot and build your dream garage with roof deck overlooking the track -- It's pretty cool but

Hallet- Corinthian Vintage Races

Gee Snaponbob you can always take a 4 1/2 hour drive to Oklahoma and take a spin around the track at Hallet, Oklahoma see website: www.hallettracing.net
Check out the open days they have for stock cars to take a spin around the track. The SCCA is having a fun run on March 31st to Hallet, check this out: http://neoklascca.org/

I may come down to Hallet this spring. But 45 minutes away is always better the 4.5 HOURS away!!! Heck HPT is about 90 minutes from home.

I looked at the neolascca site but could find no reference to a March 31 open day at Hallet. Hallet's site shows a vintage race on that weekend.

3.0 of a fun event started in 2005.
The Tulsa contingent will start at the parking lot of the IKON Office Solutions & NBC Bank at 7131 S
Riverside Drive in Tulsa and proceed to Hallett Motor Racing Circuit. Registration is from 8:00 to 8:45 AM, with
the first car out at 9:01 AM.
The Oklahoma City contingent will start at the Glass Auto Works at 7321 N Classen and proceed to Hallett
Motor Racing Circuit. Registration is from 8:00 to 8:45 AM, with the first car out at 9:01 AM.
The rally will end at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit as the morning practice sessions of the spring Corinthian
Vintage Races are concluding. The Rally entry does not include the $5.00 per car gate admission to the track, but all
participants are encouraged to join in an afternoon of watching the vintage races. The rally cars may enter the

the lunch break festivities. Lunch will be available in the Finish Line Café. Rally results and awards will be

the racers in the paddock.
The rally scoring will be a simple gimmick-type scheme announced at the team meeting on rally day. No
calculations are required. Points for the 2007 NEOKLA RoadRally Series will be awarded.
Information on the Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing organization may be found at
www.corinthianvintagerace.com. Information on Hallett Motor Racing Circuit may be found at
www.hallettracing.com. The NEOKLA Region SCCA web site is www.neoklascca.org and the Oklahoma Region
web site is www.okscca.org . Chatter about the rallys is also on www.greencountrymotorsports.com and
sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/LandRunRally. More general info at www.scca.org.
The rallymaster is Bob Strattan, (918) 663-9484, r.strattan@ieee.org, cell phone (918) 724-2435. Corallymaster
for OKC is Jim Duea, (405) 816-7797, jimduea@cox.net.
The entry fee of $10 per car does not include gate admission or food, but is for sanction and insurance costs
and prize fund. A navigator (2 person team) is required. Additional persons may be in the rally vehicle. Minor
releases must be completed for all minors (forms will be available at registration).

Really I was not making it all up, but the Corinthian Vintage races is a hoot to watch we have been the last two years, have a pal with a Sunbeam Alpine that will be taking hopefully a few spins around the track to win
