I think there's a few threads on this, but JohnD's Painted Caliper thread jumps right to mind. HTH.

It's fairly easy, but takes a long time. Prep work, mask off the caliper and wait for drying times. Hightl recommended mod since you don't have to take the brake lines off once you are done. Just make sure to torque the bolts back down to spec when you are done. I did not and had to spend $100 for the dealer to replace a $5 bolt.

I did mine without taking them off. It took longer but was still easy.
I used 3 brushes. One that came with the kit and the others I purchased.
It's been 5 months since I did it and it's holding fine.
I gave it three coats.

Painted mine too. I think I did 3 coats. Then I applied the decals and sprayed a coat of clear high temp engine enamel over the top to seal the decals.

I left the calipers on and just brushed on the paint.

Also, I have factory painted calipers on my Grand Prix. It's 4 years old and the paint is just now starting to come off.

There should not be any warranty issues as long as it is done right and not just slopped up. Use high temp paint or you will have some smoking brakes....Skip...

Just go to any auto parts store and ask them for the caliper paint. It's a kit come with a can of paint, stir stick, brush, masking tape.

I did mine it took me all day, I must have put on like 5 coats (but that was just me). It came out great. I got some on the pads but I figured that it will be gone when I change the pads.

I found epoxy two part paint specifically for brakes. Jacked the car up, pulled the wheels, mixed the paint. cleaned off the unpainted calipers, painted each caliper with a thick coat of the epoxy paint and reinstalled the wheels, put it on the ground and went to bed. Next morning the calipers were fully set and beautiful. Pulling the wheels was the most challenging part of the job.

My thread shows you how to do a more unique color and it is sprayed on. There is a wider range of colors in high heat spray, it DOES NOT have to say caliper paint on it!! Engine block paint works fine as well. Also when you properly clean the calipers, the spray does not chip as easy as the brush on does. Look at my calipers, they look more like red metal instead of painted. ANd after 6000 Miles and almost a year they still look like I just did them!!

When I did my Ion Redline I just left the brakes on and painted. 3 coats seems to about the average. I recommend doing 2 wheels at a time. Get the car up in the air, pull the tires. Clean them with brake cleaner. Allow to dry. Then do one coat, switch tires, and go back and forth. 3 coats, do the next two tires. Easy but time consumming. Took me about 2 hours.

You can go to most auto parts stores and pick up the paint kit for this. They are specifically labeled as caliper paint. It is a bout a pint of paint with a brush and a popsical stick. I do recommend getting your own brush. The ones they come with are chinsey at best.
