How GM developed our stage II engine block

Interesting article, if that is the forbearer of our 2.0 redline engines we do have room to grow. Did anyone notice the cold air intake?

If you read the article closely, they mention thickening the cylinder walls to handle more boost. It explains why the 2.0 has 2 mm less bore.
