I Modded my Splash Guards

Since my Sky is a daily driver, I found that the GM splash guards were not providing enough protection, so I decided to extend them with a simple little mod.

I posted the details and lots of pictures of the process on my ImSaturn blog. Check it out.

what about a clear material? maybe it would yellow over time - but I am thinking of that material used in large door ways where there are overlapping strips of a flexible clear material about a quarter inch thick or so. At the size of a mud flap they should be stiff enough to provide some protection but not so stiff that they would be easily damaged.

But, if my mud flaps were clear, it would make it harder to see the chrome lady leanin' back on 'em. A profile like that demands high contrast.

then you add a shadow outline - or an LED to illuminate the clear material. wouldn't the black of the tire provide a decent background for contrast?
