Wow

WOW some big bucks getting spent here Gary! I see you bought KRYPTONITE at the Santa Rosa dealer. Did you drive it back there or have a car carrier take it? I think you are going to have a lot of fun & thrills on the break-in drive back home!

Looking forward to seeing and hearing it...Bill

That's going to be really sweet! How will this compare to a Mallett conversion?

Thanks, I'm jealous of both. They must be awesome to drive!

Oh sure rub it in. Yes, I'd love to drive one of those too! I can't even get my dad to let me drive his '63 Stingray split window coupe. But then it doesn't have near that horsepower but it sure looks nice!

Now that is my dream car, I would almost consider trading my Sky for.

Nice Awe shucks all I have is 555.6/485.5 to the wheels, just a QM 600 cam, AR LT headers, intake & tune. "all throttle, no bottle"

Just another small block Chevy, hand built at GM Performance Build Center, Wixom Mich

BTW How does the SKY weigh with the Mallet conversion?

Now I'm getting jealous.

Oh, and about that weight question, Chuck said the conversion added about 200LB to the Sky.

Yep, same color too. He had it restored from the frame up. The only thing not stock I think is the radio.

Don't mean to hijack the thread though...I would certainly take an LS3 in my car.

Don't be, you have a fine piece of machinery with the Mallet. I almost went that way myself. Have you ran any 1/4 mile passes? I am real interested in the times.

I would like to, but I'm not real comfortable putting that much HP on that stock driveline.
What it needs is item #16 on that upgrade list with better tires.
I got 47 big ones in it now. If I did that then I'd have 59 bills in it, and like
was said last year, might as well buy a Vette.

not to bash your build but there are much better cams than the Hot Cam.... a Magic Stick or LG cam would produce way more power than a GM Hot Cam.

I am from the Corvetteforum and have seen so many guys throw in Hot Cams and either have to drill a hole in the throttle body to help the idle or end up pulling the cam back out for something better

This LS-3 is coming from GM with a hot cam installed... I thank you might be thinking of the LS 2 ?? Motor is the latest up grade from them... All the new Corvettes have the standard LS-3 430 HP... The Hot Cam has 50 more HP>480.. And some other mods to>525 HP..

Bail Money

Hey Gary...
Be sure you leave behind some Bail money so Karen can send it by Western Union and bail you out!

I've seen how you drive Roadrunner 1 and she's not near the mean machine that good ol' Krypto's going to be!

Be safe and hey, send pics before you start home with her...just in case you get put in the clink and Krypto gets inpounded When Karen and I fly out to wherever you're doing time' we'll want to be sure to get the right car to drive back in

Meh, I don't know why but I can't force myself to like the v8 swaps. Maybe's its the fact that its possible to make just as much hp with the stock engine or maybe the higher gas prices.
Now a 2JZ on the otherhand..... yes please.
