IMHO
Side pipes look great, but they get annoying real quick The output is going to be right below you and they are much louder than traditional pipes.

I think a side exit exhaust on a Kappa would just cause clearance issues. Unless you came out on the part of the body right behind the door. I'm sure there is frame there though, so it would be a pain.
Our cars are so short it wouldn't benefit too much from it. Although, there would be a few bends that would be eliminated. The muffler system would be the biggest thing I want to get rid of. My plan is to have it just go straight out the back. No extra bends to restrict flow. If a side exit was possible where I described, then I would think of doing that on my car when I get it. I would just do it on the passenger side and I wouldn't have to worry about the noise. I don't think it would be that bad anyways, so I think passengers would be fine with the noise. I really don't plan on having passengers that often though, so it's not much of a concern.

Well, I have had my side-pipes on for about seven months or 12,000 miles. They are less than 3/4 in. lower than the car. Never dragged on anything yet. I even have an incline into my garage and it goes in and out daily. They are even strong enough for my 5 ft 6 in 130 lb wife to stand on. Yes, really. But I not taking a chance on putting my big a$$ on them. Yes, they are fake. Everyone out here in the "real" world seem to love them. Not one negative word about them ( except here in this forum LOL) But people do agree that the "Kewl" factor would increase greatly if they were "real". I agree. But after looking and studying and measuring, it just cant be done by me. Wish someone else better luck. In the meantime I will still enjoy the comments I get on them.
