Is there a New GMPP tune?

Hey guys...I first installed the GMPP tune when it first came out back before Saturn closed down shop. I also had a GMPP CAI installed. Car is running great still...a 2007 with only 20K miles! Anyone know if GMPP has come out with any other products that will give my baby another boost in hp?

Still hitting 20-21 lbs boost...everytime!!

The 2.0L Ecotec is used everywhere. Kappa may be dead but the Ecotec is here to stay.

Thanks OldmansSky..........Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to improve the performance on my Sky? I guess I could look at doing something with the exhaust...but I really wanted to stay with GM parts.

He really isn't. He just knows... Anywho, getting some bigger numbers you'll need to step outside GM. Get a proper tune, high flow cat or cat-free down pipe. Exhaust, charge tubes+intercooler+turbo upgrade. Some form of that

Super jerk! Dont forget it!

With the gmpp tune your next option for power would be a high flow cat. lots to be gained if you go to a high flow cat or catless downpipe.(hf if you are subject to emissions testing) I had the solo hf cat and it gave the car a nice growl. Exhaust wont net much of a gain but will sound nice

If you are looking for just a tune (and are out of warranty) get a custom tune with hptuners. I would recommend getting all your bolt ons before getting a custom tune so you can avoid retuneing

Not really... Just telling you like it is. Some of the best advice I got on this forum has been from miller. Seems like he's been there done that when it comes to adding performance to the Sky. You will have to go outside of GM if want any performance gains beyond what you have now. High flow Cat, charge tubes, intercooler, turbo upgrade, and custom tune is where you need to go.

Then you'll need to do the suspension and possibly brakes to handle the extra horsepower.

There is considerable evidence that adding a high flow cat will give measurable increase in power. Charge tubes give more area under the HP curve and some say a HP gain as well.

The only other improvement that most agree adds power is an after market tune. Many recommend Wester. There is a lot of info available on the Sol forum and kappa performance forum.

Miller11386 for president!!!! Gmpp tune aint bad just not the best finish your bolt ons then get a new tune thats my plan i have the gmpp tune also it was my first mod wish i would have found this place first every1 is helpfull in their own way happy modding

What I am hearing is that if I want to stay with GMPP I have gone as far as I can go. That's cool........a exhaust might buy me 5 hp or so but probably not worth the investment.

Will the GMPP tune be OK with the HF CAT and will it bolt up to the stock exhaust without mod?? Which one do you guys recommend? That sounds like my best option right now.......then maybe go with a Westers after that.

Sound reasonable?

I am not subject to emissions testing here......but I could move at any time so I need to be able to pass emissions whatever I do.

I believe westers uses HP tuners. Same as DDMworks and performance auto werks.

Stick to the HF cat and you will pass emissions. I ran a HF cat and loved it.

Engine performance is limited by torque, so you can do whatever you want to parts, the GM software isn't going to let your exceed the torque limit.

Except...I think they removed the limit in the GMPP tune (can't remember for sure).

Can't comment on third-party tunes- they may or may not have a limit.
