$2,000 or $3,000 off Coupons from GM?

Anyone have one they can scan or share with a forum member?

THE ONLY WAY THAT WOULD WORK IS IF YOU LIVED IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD OF THE ORIGINAL HOLDER OF THE COUPON!!!

Those are NOT transferable to anyone...

Sorry about the caps I didn'd want to rewrite that over again...

Regards,

BA...

Some people recently received in the mail a GM coupon good on any GM car. I suspect it was sent to those who purchased a GM car recently.

I got a $2000 one, but some people seem to have gotten ones for $3000.

Unfortunately, they quite planly state (in bold letters) that these cannot be transferred to anyone not of the same household.

You should check ebay or craigslist for your area...I'm almost positive I saw some on there yesterday.

I got a coupon/offer from GM because I had recently purchased an Oldsmobile Aurora and Oldsmobile division of GM was being closed. I think the coupon was for $5,000. Auto manufacturers routinely send offers to registered owners and former owners. I owned a 1993 Mercury Villager and Ford/Lincoln/Mercury regularly send offers for up to $6,000 off select models.

Got one for $2000 in the mail

Came almost a month to the day from when I bought my Sky.
My wife had been looking at the Astra.

Naturally, it is not valid for the Astra.

Lucky for me she liked the last 2007 ION-3 Quad Coupe on the lot and it was good on the ION.

Warning - the coupon I had was only good for cars that had been on the lot for more that a couple months.

Just a note of clarification.

These "Coupons" are private offers sent out by GM to prospective buyers from time to time for a variety of reasons. Some are loyalty, some are conquest, some are (as mentioned) due to buying a GM brand that has been shut down. They are rare but we do see them from time to time.

All of these "Coupons" share one important attribute. They are not tranferrable to anyone who does not live in the same household. GM audits dealerships to make sure they are in compliance with the stipulations of these offers on a regular basis.

Please do not waste your time or money buying one of these coupons on Ebay or Craigslist because you will not be able to use them. You will end up looking like this guy. --->

You mean you can't get a $2,000 coupon for $50?

Why can't I get a GM coupon? I have owned a Chevy since 2003, and they never send me a coupon. I am in the market for a new car (SKY!!), and a coupon would make me buy NOW, rather than in a year. I wonder what it takes to get noticed by GM?

I feel somewhat responsible for your angst. When I said they are rare what I should have said is they are EXTREMELY rare. In 9 years I've only seen a handful.

I got one for $1,500 the other day. Used it to pick up the Astra. First one that I can recall receiving.
