Getting Your Saturn Sky Forum for discussing the process of ordering/tracking/buying your Saturn Sky. Ever wonder what a VOMS is? How about an "image", or how cars are allocated? The answer probably lies within.

2009 Ruby Red info needed

I understand GM is doing a Ruby Red Special edition for 2009. Do we have any information on what this includes? Also, is Ruby Red available as a stand alone color, or is it only available on the special edition?

I've read somewhere that the special ed includes special "split spoke" wheels. Anyone have any pictures? I am hoping there is a dealer that checks this section that can clue us in..

I read that other thread, and it didn't have any info on the special edition Ruby Red.

On the online ordering guide, it has:

AVAILABLE MODELS
Roadster (ZMB67)
Ruby Red Special Edition (ZMC67)
Red Line (ZMG67)
Red Line Ruby Red Special Edition (ZMH67)

New Features

(48U) Evening Blue exterior color
(79U) Ruby Red exterior color
(UPF) Bluetooth phone interface is standard on ZMG67and is included on ZMB67 with (PCQ) Premium Trim Package
ZMC67 SKY Ruby Red Special Edition
ZMH67 SKY Red Line Ruby Red Special Edition
(Q9A) 18" polished alloy wheel, standard on Ruby Red Special Edition models only

I also saw somewhere that the special edition Ruby Red car only comes with black interior and top.

Does anyone have any more info???

Ruby Red is a very difficult color to photograph and get true coloring. I did take several pictures of a 2009 that can be seen Here The most shaded ones are the closest to showing the true color..the ones in the sun are really washed out looking and not at all accurate.

I am in the same boat you are..there is missing/incomplete information on the 2009 Special Edititions regarding wheels, stripping, interior coloring, among other things. I scour these forums and the Internet daily trying to find the missing information..but no luck yet.

I believe the special edition version will be similar to the Carbon Flash SE; stripes and interior treatment. But time will tell once the model year is in full swing.
