Oh my! Now you're really making me feel old! I remember that statement but had forgotten it. I can't even remember the last time I heard it!
If I put my number on the side of my car like you have on yours, it would be one digit lower than what you have.

I think it was Jerry Rubin who stated it although it was sometimes credited to Abbie Hoffman when they were hanging around together as social activists in the 60's

I had to get my entertainment listening to radio shows. Didn't get our first TV until 1947 and there were not many channels or shows to watch back then.

I was stationed at Oakland Army Terminal in 1965-67...Of course we are talking about the 50s but since Abbie Hoffman & Jerry Rubin's names were brought up...I remember when Lindsey was Mayor of NYC and Mark Rudd started the riots at Columbia..coining the phrase Fun City....and Timothy Leary at Berkely...smoke Banana Peel, and people did it thinking they would get high...LOL

The RAT Pack

Dean Martain, Sammy Davis JR, and Frank Sinatra, and I was in love with Franks daughter Nancy.. Those boots were made for walking, and they could have walked all over me...
Marry Christmas to the rest of you old farts.
