i think the interior is supposed to get a special grey insert or something.

It is a decal and it was on the car at the factory. It would be easily removed I think it went to far down on the front and rear myself. Stretch.

OK, let me get this straight.

The SKY RL has a distinctive blackout bezel. The SKY NA has the chrome bezel. The Opel GT (with Turbo) also has the chrome bezel, which makes it distinctive form the RL, but looks like the SKY NA. And now we have the Carbon Flash, that even in the NA version has the blackout bezel so it looks like a RL, even when it's not.

Got it?

For those that do put front plates on, it is going to cover the stripe anyway, but besides it looks ok, if you into that..not myself...no plates on front and no stripes, stickers...except on the side like MM has, i really liked that myself and black on blue would look pretty good..SteveSky67

Yeah I hate the stripe but the color look good! Dont understand why they put the dark headlight on the base version.........

Good thing here in Canada, the Carbon Flash only come in REDLINE edition

BA...it doesn't look great and it's just not me...I posted pics of the car earlier and it is actually UGLY...yes, UGLY. That gray is actually battleship gray...the steering wheel is a disaster along with the stripes and the seats. You should have made it to MECCA this year...u would have changed your mind...especially when u would have seen MERLOT...u would have just passed the SPECIAL EDITION.

You better come up next year. The southern comfort is aging for you.

Man , tough crowd. I think Saturn tried to make the Sky look like a muscle car. I am somewhere in the middle on the edition having seen it in person. Anyway, enjoy your pride and joy.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of pinstripes or stripes of this sort but it is a way to identify it as a special edition. I think the color choice is fine with the carbon flash paint (looks very similar to the Vue Black/Silver of the 02/03 model year). Where I think they 'missed' the effect of the stripe is it doesn't wrap the top of the front fascia so now you have this huge gap between the front edge and the grille. Once the front plate bracket is mounted, if it is, then the lower part of the stripe will be blocked and then the stripe effect looks unfinished in the front.

Stripe is a good idea, wonder what gold would have looked like?

Saw one outside at a dealer in Dartmouth, MA today. The top was down, it looked great! I loved the gray leather inserts on the seats. The stipes look hot in my opinion. The metallic black really sparkled in the sun! It caught my eye since it was the first time I saw the OEM windscreen installed on a sky.

They have one here at Northglenn Saturn North in Colorado. The stripe is vinyl tape and looks garish. Interior is sort of a light silver "titanium" accent with black as you would the black/tan black/red versions. Nothing too exciting. I think there was some badging inside but outside there was nothing except the stripe. The paint has a fairly large amount of metal flake but it doesn't work very well and goes from deep black to matte black looking as if the clear-coat was stripped. Quite an odd and unwanted effect if you ask me. There are no performance upgrades to this SE version. Purely cosmetic (in a bad way, like the Viper Mamba Edition). Unimpressive.

I respectfully disagree as I just bought this car 4 hours ago!!! The metal fleck looks fricking sweet and provides a deeper look to the car than the regular black. I prefer the single stripe instead of duals you may see on other cars. The titanium color of the interior provides a contrast compared to all black. Very happy with the purchase and need to take it out this weekend for a mountain drive.
