Getting Your Saturn Sky Forum for discussing the process of ordering/tracking/buying your Saturn Sky. Ever wonder what a VOMS is? How about an "image", or how cars are allocated? The answer probably lies within.

Dealer wrote me today SKY production increased...

This is the email
Dear Thomas,

Not sure if you have seen any of the recent automotive headlines, but allegedly they are going to increase production f the SKY significantly. Hopefully this will mean that we will see you car sooner than planned, but no official word yet. Our next car should be anywhere from this week, to 2 weeks out. I will let you know when we receive it, and if your car has been produced yet.

Has anyone else heard about this???

See if this link works. Only mentions increasing production of the Solstice.

It seems like I read something about this in the Sky News board on this forum... maybe you could try posting this there? Sorry, I don't have the exact link of the thread or anything, I am not too great with these forums.

This would be very exciting!! I just spoke with my dealer yesterday and he didn't mention anything about it. They told me 2-3 months 6 weeks ago when I ordered it and yesterday he told me the same thing ...
Indiana had better have a long Indian Summer!!!

I visited with my dealer last night, and he inferred the same thing; their allocations are moving faster than anticipated and they (the dealership) believe it is because production has increased. I was told I am still on target to order in a few weeks with delivery in mid-August.

As much as I would love to get my Sky earlier than I've been told to expect, I'm wary of GM increasing their output. Part of what attractedd me to the Sky in the first place is that this seemed to be a limited model. In the long run, this will affect our cars' value.
