Getting Your Saturn Sky Forum for discussing the process of ordering/tracking/buying your Saturn Sky. Ever wonder what a VOMS is? How about an "image", or how cars are allocated? The answer probably lies within.

Finally picked up a sky!

Hey! So i've been on this forum for about a month, and my wait is finally over! I picked up my new '08 Sky Redline on Monday and have been having an amazing time!

I had gone into that dealer and left again 3 times already and the sales guy really wanted to just close the sale, so this weekend he finally offered me $2000 off (Saturn's $500 rebate plus an addition $1500 in vouchers) and i decided to go for it. Got 5.9 percent financing too even after my poor credit (even with a good co-signer) gave me trouble everywhere but GMAC!

It started with 97 miles on it and i have about 200 on it now (all but about a mile of that is with the top down, hehe). I am coming from a 1991 3000GT VR-4 with 140,000 miles on it, so a new car is a big deal! I'm keeping my 3000GT too, i have had that car for 6 years and i absolutely love it, but it needs a break, and some TLC. It's going to spend some much needed time getting the maintenance it needs (it's 20k miles past the 120k service!) and i'll drive it around when the weather is nasty or i wanna go to the snow (it's AWD!), but it's summer now, so it's Sky time!

Here's me and my girl in it just before we left the dealer!

Anyway, i'm a mechanical engineer with robotics and machining skills too, and i really want to improve a few things about the Sky, so hopefully i'll be able to help with some mods or products that can do that!
Oh, and for the record, I'm 23 and live in Cupertino, CA.

Hey Man, congrats on the new Sky. How does it compare to the 3000GT? I love the Sky, but I will always have a place in my heart for the GT.
