Help an Old Newb

Hi Folks,

First post!

My wife and I are both baby boomers (read old LOL) but we absolutely want to buy and drive a new Sky! With that in mind we already know the color we want for our 2009 Sky (Ruby Red but please keep the applause down and all of you out there thinking "Black is Best"....that's only cause you couldn't choose Ruby Red for your Sky prior to this year) <snicker>

OK so now that the formalities are out of the way...here's the problem:

In 2009 there apparently will be a Ruby Red Special Edition Sky:

Especially the part that says:

So Ok like the $64,000.00 question is:

What the heck does a 2009 Ruby Red Limited Ediition consist of?

My Saturn Dealer ( and their attractive sales woman *cough* I mean person) cannot tell me...hence my post!

Thanks also cerberus for the link to the ordering guide..I have bookmarked it and will try again tomorrow to see if I can get into it (appears to be having a server problem today)

The Saturn dealer here says they are taking orders for 09's now...and I really want to start that process...I am guessing it might take a couple months (maybe longer?!?!) but just as soon as I determine what the special edition actually is..the order will be going. They will be getting their first 09 into the dealer sometime in the next 7 to 10 days (also Ruby Red coloring but not the special edition)

Here in Western New York..winters sometimes come a little early but hoping to do some cruising on some nice Fall days when the leaves are changing.

I think cerberus link is no good for Saturn's. If you look across the top, it does NOT show a "Saturn" logo or cars.

This link below is where I usually go to put a Saturn together, but apparently, or unfortunately, (pick A or B) they are only showing build an 08.. Hopefully, they will get this site updated and their shlt together.. BTW, Ima old geezer also, (at least these young pups and young guns) think I'm old.. Thats is why they are so young and do not know much.. and so therefore, they are so "easily" out maneuvered, in many ways than one..

First Welcome and have fun. You will love this car and the forum has more info, in my opinion, then the dealers have.
Looking at the web site The 09 Rudy Red Sky's will probably come with the new wheels. Other then that it will have the same options as the rest of the 09 Sky's. I am not sure what color the interior will be though. The Mobile Saturn dealership has a 08 limited addition on the floor that is a black metallic paint (like the Astra's) with a silver stripe kit on it and Grey and black interior. The new enhanced Blue tooth hands free On Star phone will be on all the 09's

Too bad you won't have your SKY for the Speedie Fest next month. I am not sure how far you are to it, but there will be a lot of us there, come join us even though you don't have your SKY yet. I (we) would love to meet ya. Just a thought. T.

Well thanks very much for the invite! I probably won't be able to make it in August (a very busy month for me) but I would love to do some meets at times..I will dig more into the forums regarding those and see when and where you folks are doing these! Sounds like great fun!

Hey Ricky..you have hit the nail on the head! I have learned (and still am learning) more about the Sky from reading through this forum than anything else.

The link that cerberus kindly posted for the ordering guide is working for me today..much greater details on the 2009 Ruby Red Special Edition there. I hope to be ordering later this week!

Pokin around in the online order guide for Saturn Sky it doesn't appear there's much different aside from the wheels. A few options on the 2.4 model are standard on the Ruby Red Special Edition.
