Getting Your Saturn Sky Forum for discussing the process of ordering/tracking/buying your Saturn Sky. Ever wonder what a VOMS is? How about an "image", or how cars are allocated? The answer probably lies within.

I'm Getting My RedLine!!!

Well, after calling the sales manager and telling them they can keep the RedLine they just ordered for me if they are not willing to sell it to me at the price I got in writing when I put my deposit down, he said he would call his rep and see what he can do but he didn't think he could do anything. He called back a half hour later and said that not only can he give me the agreed upon price but he will give me a "Friends of GM Employees" discount if I or a family member have any friends who work for GM or any GM supplier. So, does anyone out there work for GM or any of their suppliers and need a new friend? I would be very grateful. plus! I'M GETTING MY REDLINE!!! In about 3 weeks I should have it. A little early for Ohio but with the weather staying as warm as it has so far, maybe I'll be riding around with the top down next month. Woohoo!!!

Congrats! I am so jealous. Good job on negotiating (or, rather, NOT negotiating!)

Way to go! I work for a GM supplier -- does that work?

I got hit with the increased price and asked the sales person about it -- no satisfactory answer. I may be calling her back today. They said I could NOT use the GM supplier discount.

gm supplier discount

my husband is a goodyear tire retiree and we were able to use the gm supplier discount on my new sky. we weren't allowed to use our gm card rebate money on the sky but every little bit helps. OH YES I PICKED UP MY NEW CHILLI PEPPER RED SKY THURSDAY AT THE DEALERSHIP IN CLARKSVILLE TN. ORDERED IT ON JUNE 06 06 AND IT HAS THE PREMIUM LEATHER PACKAGE UPGRADE ON RADIO AND THE CHROME WHEELS. IT WAS SITTING ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR WHEN WE GOT THERE A TWO HOUR DRIVE FROM UNION CITY TN. ALL I COULD DO IS GRIN AND SAY OH MAN OH MAN WHAT A GREAT CAR. I hope the weather clears up so i can take it out this weekend. the weatherman is calling for flash floods this weekend so my sky will be staying in the garage.

I too work for a GM supplier. The unfortunate thing about these discounts is that they are up to the dealer to accept or not. In my case - they did not. Had it been another model, they would have. However, they did no add-ons and every part of dealing with them has been a pleasure (this is my 4th Saturn)

I didn;t get the GM discount on my first sky, but my dealer is giving it to me on my RL, since I am trading in my first sky.
