Just got my new sky!!!

Just got a "08" redline, what an awesome car!! Fully loaded only 7 miles on it from the dealer. How many miles did everyone wait to get before they started really running the car?? Later Scott

I broke mine in for 500 miles before I really put it thru some paces. Have fun with the new RL.

Manual recommends 200 for brakes & 500 for the rest. No hard starts, no hard braking, and vary your speed for the first 500. After a couple hundred I occasionally ease it up into the 70's, 80's, 90's for short bursts, just to give it a taste of whats coming and to give it the "varying speeds" the manual requires..--

Scott what color did you get? I might have made it 100 miles before I drove it semi-hard. Congrats on the new wheels.

I waited till the first clear straight and level road before "Redlining" it. So about 1 mile after I picked it up. I think 14 on the odometer when I picked it up, so I would say 15 miles.

The engine has been run at the factory, so it has been broken in some what!

The breakin period is mostly dealing with other parts on the car!

Don't drive at a steady speed for a long period of time.

I ran it hard a few times after about 100 miles. Not too bad but just enough to show it whos boss!

After 500, drive it like you stole it!

Welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your Sky. You will love the experience. I wanted to wait for 500 miles. Winston didn't.

Pictures and details, please.
